Brenda Rose

Brenda Rose grew up the youngest of six with four brothers and one sister, a trial in and of itself. She was graduated in the upper ten percent of her high school class. While she is serious and practical, a virtual perfectionist, she is impish and an endless trickster. She is a hard worker, and, oh, what a sense of humor! Having been sexually molested during eight years of her childhood led to being part of the party scene and drinking and taking drugs excessively. The situation grew more and more serious, but God saw something that she nor anyone else saw. Brenda Rose has never been a poet on her best day, but God found a way to speak to her and to make her listen. He had a fellow worker on the job ask her to write a poem for Mother’s Day at her church. He speaks, and Brenda Rose “holds the pen” ever ready to write the words He gives her. He, Who made celestial and terrestrial entities and Brenda Rose, made you and knew you before you were ever born or even conceived. Just imagine! He had you planned. He loves you so much that He sacrificed His Son Jesus for you. And He wants you to come to Him, to believe in Him, and to be saved spiritually and every other way for eternity. How Can You Not?

Can you hear the red bird singing as he awakens with the dawn;

Or see his leaving with the sunset, whistling a goodnight song?

Can you see the dew drops glistening in the morning’s light,

As they’ve fallen so gently in the stillness of the night?

Darkness disappears into the day’s new light,

And that which was hidden is brought into fullness of sight.

Nature doesn’t yawn as it pulls up the shades,

But goes about its chores along the way of praise.

Can you hear the wind blowing as the thunder rolls

And see the rain begin to fall on all that’s exposed?

Standing on the mountain top looking into the valley below,

Can you see the beauty of creation from down deep in your soul?

Or, standing in that same valley looking up to the sky,

Can you hear the voices of the angels as they begin to cry -

"Ask and it will be given; seek and you will find;

Knock and it will be opened unto you.

For we know the One Who holds the key,

And all that He asks is ‘Come unto me.’"

How can you not if you have ears to hear?

How can you not if you have eyes to see?

Life in abundance, love that abounds, peace, joy, and happiness galore,

All that it takes is professing His name and taking Him into your heart,

Believing that Jesus is the Lord of all lords

And absorbing His creation is a good place to start.

In view of all of this, how can you not?

I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal

Life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. John
