Letters of Encouragement From a Mother to Her Son
()
About this ebook
Letters of Encouragement from a Mother to Her Son is pretty much made up of nine letters that were written by a mother to her only child, her son who has to spend time locked away from family. Out of the nine letters, the last one has not yet been read by my son. By this time, if you are reading this, my son has also. After each letter, there are scriptures and teaching that one could ponder on and apply to their life so that they may be encouraged and lifted up and know that they are not alone. Most of us young and old never pick up a Bible, so God has appointed those that are led by the Holy Spirit to be a light to the world. I pray that this book will reach and bless many who read it, and I pray that those who apply the Word of Jesus to their life will be encouraged and changed in a way that draws them closer to Jesus Christ. Maybe they would even give their life to Jesus, if they haven't already, then assemble themselves around those who love the Lord so that they may continue to grow in the Lord our God and pass it on to the next, spreading the love of God. Amen! Be encouraged.

Dedicated to all the young men and women who lost their way at the most important time of their live.
To my son, Adolphus, because of you, I learn to depend on God just a little more. I learn to pray just a little harder. My faith in Jesus Christ grows even more and more. Through my ups and downs, I learn to stay encouraged as I encourage others as well along the way. My son, you are the one whom I have to keep lifted up in prayers. I will continue to encourage you and teach you that God cares about you and for you. Through you, Jesus inspired me to write to you to feed the inner man, the spirit that lives within you. Always remember that our Father in heaven is our creator. He knows all and sees all. Never let go of God’s hands, for he cares for us.
Be encouraged! Love you, my son.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths
(Proverbs 3:5–6).
(Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do and everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.)
Fear ye not, stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord.
Exodus 14:13–14
Introduction
This book consists of numerous letters that have been written by a mother (myself) concerning the welfare of her son. At this time, he has graduated from high school, but instead of going to college to further his education and then take the time to seek employment, he found himself in trouble. He’s not a bad son; he is actually a very kind young man. Anyone who knew him would agree. But to make a long story short, he has to spend some time in jail. Of course, this is new to him as well as to me, his mother, who is wondering how we get here. I am sure a lot of other mothers like myself have had the same thoughts.
The children of today find themselves dealing with a lot of situations and circumstances in today’s world, and there is no one to help or to encourage them to press on in life so that they can overcome but God our Father in heaven.
I was inspired by God to write to my son what was in my heart. After writing each letter, I made a copy of them and place them in a folder, not knowing why I was saving them, just being obedient to the Spirit.
I feel this is the time (2016) that these letters have
