DNA Antecedant
I'm just going to come right out and say it, so you can read this with the main idea in mind.
The common cause, the mother that gives birth to all aging ills, the antecedent, the originator, the big bang, the primordial thing that leads to many downstream diseases is aging itself, DNA breakdown of the cells in the body.
Aging and DNA degradation is the cue ball that hits the racked billiard balls. Everything else that follows is a direct result of this.
Each person's DNA may be at a different stage of failure, every organ system of a person may be at a different stage of breakdown, but this is the process that causes aging and diseases of aging.
This causes all diseases of aging, including diabetes, Alzheimer's, strokes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity.
There is no one cause of these diseases of aging. Everyone is looking for the unique, singular, biologic process that causes each of these--there isn't. Its a total breakdown of cellular function, and there is no reversing the process.
Outward noticable signs of aging can be thought of as indicators of aging. Trying to change these indicators and signs of aging do not affect the root cause itself, which is aging. Changing obesity doesn't cause a persons DNA to get put back together.
For instance, treating diabetes doesn't affect the root cause, which is aging. Therefore the other consequences of aging, mainly stroke and heart attacks, cannot be forestalled.
These signs of aging
are only the smoke that reveals the fire--which is the cellular failure. Clearing the room of smoke doesn't put out the fire.
Losing weight, eating right, exercise, alcohol, none of these thing even remotely touch the fire. These things are equivalent to clearing the room of smoke. The fire
