Summary

As we understand it, there has always been Lights In The Night Skies! Witnessed Ships that appear then Dart away then reappear! Others say they have seen beings from another world! Others say they have been abducted and still others say they have been taken and examined then released! The general public believes there is something to these stories and still others disregard the sightings and say there are explanations to them and questionable individuals.

An eccentric preventive maintenance mechanic that fits in these categories wondered just that. With an extraordinary imaginative mind he understood the concepts of the computer world. He had Great Imagination and the thought of What If always got him in trouble!

Highly Advanced Extraterrestrials have been expanding for years. Traveling vast distances to many Planets and systems and mapping their travels. Studying geological surveys and in contact with other forms of life. In their studies they have been pushed around with difficulties in their studies! An idea was examined, to search for an open minded being with abilities.

To approach a physically fit and mentally capable being Humanoid for use as their protector in 3D worlds! To persuade and not abduct, to have him come willingly and accept this new way of life and help them in any situation.

During his travels he learned the secret of his existence, then there were complications and he was exposed to their technology. Being exposed to Unlimited Knowledge and technology which he picked up then something Happened! He Pushed his Capabilities To Beyond Comprehension!

The Beings saw him as, The Chosen One and The Percidean! Stories swirled around the Society of a prophecy of a Person from a distant unknown Planet and of his past and Star Seed! He learns of the stories and acted this way. Then pushes it but believes he will soon be found as a fraud and returned or worse, left abandoned in some Planet! Surely Always, On Edge!

The story, On Edge, was a personal struggle to keep the story going. Thanks to my wife Ana for her help and support as I spent many hours on my computer. These were trying times as I had my primary job and working part time at the Dragstrip as Top End Emergency. My wife struggling to put her breast cancer behind her and overcoming depression and anxiety in her everyday struggles.

The story brought Fun and Pleasure everyday as I related the continuing Drama of the Main Character, his exploits and adventure! The story really didn’t seem to end and as it finally came to its conclusion it was sad for it to end.

The story was first written on paper in a manuscript form in July 2012 then laid on my desk. I had many projects and personal struggles with my wife until In the Spring of 2015; I started transferring it to my computer and edited it until its final form. Many Thanks To Her! And my New Extraterrestrial friends for their persistency in adding their side to unknown facts.

Dad, your work has a special quality that outshines even the famous works and movies! I’m very impressed!

Nathaniel Perez: I’ve read some really good books and some I couldn’t put down so easily but this! Where did this come from? This is really good stuff and I don’t have to hunt down the author for clarifications or insights! You’re right here!

Chapter Eight

Instrument of Terror

I make my way to the Hanger Deck and as I’m going there some of the crews are cheering me as I walk on to the Deck. I have no idea they were in this position of knowing but I’m getting the idea! I get to the long tunnel and walk its length and pass the many Meeting Rooms full of activities! I get to the Hanger Deck and step on its polished floor and go a short distance and see all the excitement! I don’t go very far to see a shuttle here ready and the crews are also cheering me on. I see someone pointing my direction and I didn’t know if they are happy that I’m leaving or what!

Strange I don’t see the Deck Commander but the way to the shuttle is clear and I walk in and take my place. In no time we are pivoting and I see the colored lights and we’re moving out and pivoting to go to the Special Ship. I’m happy to get the hell out of there! This is stupid! They are some kind of racist or something! This is the fastest Ship visit that I ever had! I was in and out in less than two hours.

The Special Ship is not that far away and it will only take a moment to get there.

The shuttle crews are silent, don’t say a word, and then the Shuttle Captain speaks and says I’m glad you changed the Captains position. I ask him why is that! He says this Captain is always keeping the entire crew tense and always questions everyone and he’s been keeping the crews on edge all the time.

He is always voicing his opinion and putting people down and saying the Command Staff is in a higher status and should be treated properly. Then he says I’m glad someone put him in his place and he will not see things the same anymore. I tell him I do not take such words and attitudes kindly from anyone, especially from Commanders and Captains and Officials and I have a job to do and this kind of people are not going to get in my way.

You either accept this New Direction and try to work with it and become part of it or step down and get out of the way because This Society is moving forward.

He says I do not fully understand the meaning of this New Direction! What must I do and what must we all do to be a part of this! I tell him this New system is for the Command Structure only. You as crews are not affected immediately; It’s the way we will do things! It’s how we will proceed in our work and the way we did things are now not effective enough!

In the way you are used to, you go out and do your work and if there’s a problem then you do your best to resolve things, even if it takes time and sometimes it cannot be resolved.

Many times we fall back and wait for when we can go back. This keeps the Society closed and together. This New Direction is a different thinking and procedure. There will be others that are well suited for this kind of work and your people will still be able to do your work and studies but there will be someone that will clear the path and stand before you. This will happen everywhere you go and this will happen soon.

There will be others not from this society that will be among you but they will have a purpose that is in line with this society. Those that do not understand this New Way, they will be removed from position and evaluated and then it will be up to them if they can comply with this New Thinking. Then he asks if that is why your here! You seem to be Special and always coming up with new ways and thinking! They say you are part Percidean and your way is in agreement with our Gods. Some say you are The One! We believe in a Prophecy!

Most don’t believe in it but it’s there and there are those that do believe in Deity! They say we have Gods that lives among us and some speak to them! If our God speaks to him then he truly Is The One and has a purpose here among us! Who am I or we to question him! This Captain that you just put down, he was a person that questions many things and will not comply, except to his own beliefs. This is going around and now many will believe in this New Direction.

I tell him I didn’t mean to put him down like that, I just wanted his obedience! I have much work to do and I do not have time to deal with his attitude and so now he will get educated or he will get left behind.

Then he says there is a big problem at The Zone, Are you going to change that! I tell him I will change many things! He asks how! I hear they are pushing things! I say to him, well perhaps I’ll push even harder! I’m the Instrument Of Terror!

We are now getting directions to the Hanger Deck then they open the Doors and we are proceeding inside. It’s a nice looking ship! We go through the door system and then we set down and then I feel some movement and I can tell we have just left the area.

Then I hear a low tone saying the air is charging. Then the air is clear and good and the ramp comes down and our doors open. I come out first as I get a good spray of mist as I step on the short ramp. Then I step and then I’m on the Deck Floor and looking around then I’m walking out.

There’s a few here welcoming us when I get a notice on my tablet but I can’t respond to it because the Commanders are greeting me. He says the Captain is busy getting us going and he sends his apologies! I say to him I have much work to do too and I need to go to the Big Area. He leads the way and we moved rapidly.

We walk in and I drop my bag then walk up to start to access some information on this large console! I move my hand and the symbols come alive as they pop up just a little and there are all kinds of triangles and icons and they are of different colors and dancing and twirling! I push the proper sequence and get the information I need. The colors settled down and all kinds of information is here before me. Some Commanders come over and then some Officials as I’m gathering information. I hear them sharing telepathically in the open sharing.

We’re headed in the direction of the other side to the Zone Area and all kinds of statuses are dancing all around and I’m interested in this other side. I expand it and it pops up and I center it. There’s activity and then there’s static! Then someone from behind me says we are too far away but wait a few quid’s. I turn and it’s the Captain. He greets me well but I’m not getting fooled again!

He says we’re moving rapidly but not as fast as a Super Cruise Ship, we know of the importance of this. He says the Ship is here for you and anything you need is at your disposal. I smile and he says I understand the importance of this New Direction and it’s about time someone steps up and corrects things. I take it as it would take a Percidean for this to happen.

Don’t worry, I’m not like that other Captain, I have an open mind and I accept this new way. I say to him this other Captain confused me for a moment, I did not expect it and I was not going to get fooled like that again. I cannot afford any setbacks and need to proceed positively.

He asks what is your Direction, if I may ask!

I close the console panel and turn it to the standard system and we walk to the rear area of this Big Open Area Room. I tell him the Supreme Beings and I have reached a conclusion on a best possible way and Direction to take and we are in agreement.

The Command Staff gather and we start talking. He tells me we are traveling faster than most conventional Command Ships and we will get there in several quid’s and we are set up with a full Viper contingent and getting ready for any instructions you need to give them. There might be a Super Cruise Ship to take you there in a few quid’s if the situation should arise.

Then he gives me more information of the area of the Border and what we have there and their plans. He is telling me everything he knows and not holding anything back. As he’s telling me, he is pointing everything out in the standard graph Image Viewer that is here but slightly overhead for everyone to see.

I ask have you been there! He says I have been there numerous times. I have brought and taken Officials and Commanders along with some Advisers back and forth. They have come up with plans and ideas but with no progress. I ask how many ships do we have at this Border Zone! He says there is a vast area at this point, he points the area then he shows me another area further away and says here at this point too.

We have two Command Ships, one at each point with two Support Ships each. A Freighter Ship is not too far back for the crews. We will set our points by the Freighter Ship, this is as close as we are permitted.

I nod as I study the Zone Area and he says the Raiders were aggressive at first but now they seem even more and now they are patrolling more often. Just yesterday we sent a patrol to parallel them and they, the Raiders turned to us then attacked us and we suffered damage to three Vipers and they didn’t back of!

I ask what did our Vipers do! He looks at the others and I continue. Did we counter or defend ourselves! They just look at each other again.

He says we are not prepared for this! We do not fight or take lives! Then he says, I hope we will not take steps to change this! He’s looking at me very concerned as he waits for my answer.

I respond no we do not plan to take lives but we do not accept this action and we will not give in to this aggressiveness and we must stand ground at one point. If we must, we will bloody their nose to get their attention. I turn and ask for the update on the Planet we had left behind. He looks into it and says this Warrior is just getting there but the situation is not good.

We have learned that there are three different armies and they are ready for battle. I ask what are they waiting for! He says a message was dispatched from our ground Team and it was directed to the approaching Armies, its continents were that a meeting is being requested by a Force Individual with information forthcoming!

I tell him now that is like setting up the Warrior for a point of no return! He says there is a full gathering of warships with armies all in the areas. I tell them he is just one and the armies do not know of what we have gathered! They may go after him as you have presented him and only him!

I remark he is in a similar situation as I am, he will do battle and we are normally not prepared for this. We do not even consider this action but this must be done to restore this peace and control of the Planet and area from aggressive behavior. How do you see this and his actions!

They all look sadly at the situation and this Adviser says I agree this Warriors action is needed, we did not intend to . . set him up! We understand these Raiders have taken many lives and continue to do so at an alarming rate.

This other Adviser says this Planet and the surrounding Planet Systems have been at war and making our presence there very difficult! This other Official says what I don’t understand is the way this Warrior will approach them and what he can say to stop these actions from so many.

I say to him I’m presented with the same situation and I shall do what I can to defuse this situation and preserve our position.

They see that I have my hands full and they don’t see how I can do this!

He says I can see how they decided to bring in a Percidean for this.

They understand now my meaning of the New Direction because they simply cannot do any of this, even if they tried. They can’t normally push the issue and stand firm. They can’t do this with confidence and then return to normal life because of who they are.

I look away and realize they treat life so precious because of how they see life as we are living in so few Planets. I may see an abundance of life but they see it differently.

This Commander asks can you present yourself with a stance then produce force with injury then return, return to be among us!

I tell him I see the situation differently than most do in this society. These others have their reasons for their actions and they totally believe they are acting in their best defense! At that other Planet, they are Raiders in pursuit of wealth and greed with disregard for life which we do not understand. Their disregard for life is not understandable and we must deal with this the same way to their understanding.

This here is almost the same. There is an underlying truth that we must find. Perhaps they are driven by an outside force or a truth that is not realized. Their actions is my action and I’m more able to do this action and proceed positively and go back to normal activity and not be bothered with it. I am more able to cope with actions because I’m more capable of it. This is the New Way and all must understand it.

They look at me and give me this look of confidence! Then they say how can we be of assistance!

I tell them give me any additional information as it comes in no matter how insignificant it may seem and update me on any orders and questions that are being asked. I need this as I piece together a plan of action and direction. I need to get with the Viper pilots and go over some plans to implement once we get there. Assemble the Crews for a meeting in over a quid. They scramble and things start moving.

I walk to an area where there’s quarters assigned and some Commander comes over to tell me where my bag was sent. Then this Officer shows me the way and we don’t go very far and we get here. I’m informed of the eatery and the general areas and I nod at this then walk in. I get a really nice room and my bag is on the bed. I undress and shower and then get partially dressed and relaxed on the bed. I’m tired and have little sleep in the last 30 hours! I close my eyes and sleep for an hour and then I get a notice that the crews are assembled and waiting for me. I get fully dressed and go to the Hanger Deck. They’re all here and waiting for me to inspect them.

I move all about them and they are in good formations. I’m asked if they are fine! I turn and see the Wing and Deck Commander and I recognize him. He is someone that I had ran into back at the Institute and he had said he would meet me out there among the Stars. He wasn’t anybody important but some Commander that I impressed as being a newcomer as I was escorted around and he was curious about me.

I come up to him and shake hands but he stands and I know he is being respectful.

He says I recognized you and got the crews ready and says we are ready for any action. I ask can they can perform in a critical situation! He says just say the word! This impresses me as I turn to see the crews again.

I ask have they been instructed on the latest updates and he says they are up to date as we all have been.

I say Good! We will see just how ready they are in a few quid’s.

I walk into the Pilot’s Room and we have a small gathering and I introduce the new method of attack. I just tell them we’re going to use intimidation tactics and we will use canons to drive our point.

They understand, I also say there might be a situation where someone might be hurt but we are not concerned about this because if they know how concerned we are then they will not be phased by our actions.

I say I will be the point person in every situation if I can. It all depends on the Command structure and how they are dealing with this.

I predict I may be used as an advisor at first but then again I can be wrong. Then I’m informed I have a message from a particular Commander so I excuse myself and this Commander points to the area and I go to a Port Terminal.

I walk to this Terminal and I know who it is. It’s my Commander friend. He says our Warrior friend has made contact and is always in battle with the other people, even the Planets people! This is disturbing but the Warrior has been driving his point is holding his own and this is encouraging!

I ask what happened to the Command Ship after I left!

He seemed concerned about this! He says all the Commanders were sad and wanted to learn this New Way and Direction because you seemed so powerful! He asks what did you do!

This Captain suffered a major setback and I have learned that you didn’t even touch him! You used words and he just fell to his knees and you took over Command! Then he says I need to learn this method of yours, I sure can use it!

He says I’m sending an update of what is happening on the Command Ships to your tablet to view when you can. I tell him pay special attention to the Planet and the area. Especially the Warrior, so just stay close and be prepared to come to his aid and extraction in the proper time. He says I have everything monitored but he’s close to all the actions. The Viper Wings are also reporting ready than ever before.

I say good then we closed transmission and I go to the Command Room Area.

The Commanders are here and they tell me there’s no new information so I tell them I have not rested so I will take some time to catch up. They say let us know and we will inform you. I tell them inform me any time there’s news.

Then this Officer leads me to my area and we get to my room. I walk inside my room and I need this rest so I take a shower then dress light then go to my bed and this time I just pass out. I really just fall asleep and it’s a wonderful good sleep and then I wake up I just lay here hugging my pillow thing and I open my eyes and it’s hard to believe I’m here.

I can hear and feel the small rumbling of the Ship and the fresh air that it has and it’s kind of cool here. I know it’s very cold outside but the heating system works very well inside and I don’t know how well this place is insulated but it works well. I roll over to my back and prop my pillow behind my back and head and get my tablet and start to review some messages. First I see where we’re at in relation to the Border and where we were at in space. We’re almost half way there and moving really fast. Then get up and refresh myself and get dressed and get some kind of coffee drink and sit at the table. I start to review some more details of the Zone again.

Then I get a notice, if I want to get updates on my tablet and I accept. Then I start to get some read outs on the Zone area. I have tied in to our scan system and I’m getting real live scans on this Border area. I can see Raiders making a run along this area and it’s scary! These are the Raiders that we are afraid of! It isn’t that we’re afraid but the consequences of a real standoff and fight is what frightens these people! These Raiders are state of the art and perhaps higher in technology of us and this thought is scary! I need to see this in a bigger screen and get more information. I get up and go to the Command Room Area.

The Commanders are here and we have gathered and I have seen nothing new and so we have a small conference. We discuss about the happenings and the Zone area. They’re really concerned about this and they want answers. I can’t give them any because I’m not there to evaluate things. I just tell them to get me there to evaluate the situation. They hesitate and I see an opportunity and so I tell them I want to go get something to eat, they look at me and some of us get up and walk out and head to the local eatery.

I keep looking around and see this ship differently. This Ship is not as big as the ones I’m used to and so I ask the Commander about this. He says this converted Command Ship is a prototype that has been in review. I ask review! He says they need Ships like this to take Command Staff or Special People to troubled areas quickly and it is new to us. It bends time and distorts the waves with strong gravitational pulse in waves and it gains speed with the riffs that we have been in and move to areas in control. It is bigger than a normal Cruise Ship, more like a ship we are accustomed to and can move better than most.

This is as best as I know how to explain it. I hear they are testing a Super Cruise Ship for this but this is what we have and I was in your area. I ask if it can be used in smaller Ships like a small shuttle! He says it is also being looked at. This gives me an idea and I file this away. Then we walk into this eatery and it is different and we make our selection then start eating.

Later as we’re eating I write in my tablet to my Commander friend about a small Ship like a shuttle or perhaps a Viper type to get me out of a bad situation and he says he will pass it on. Then he tells me my Warrior friend is in full battle and we do not have contact with him as of yet. I have deployed the Fleet close by and I am closer to him. I write what are the Commanders of the Ship doing to help him! He writes they are confused because they’re in strange territory! I say to him they are just watching and not giving advice, he is on his own. He writes, It Is Sad but we have confidence in him. Then we signed off.

I’m thinking we have a potential Battle going on in that Planet and I have a potential Battle going on in the Border Area. What an Adventure this turned out to be! We’re on the end of my second day and we’re about halfway to the Border Area and these people are getting nervous. You can see it as they’re going about their business.

The Captain comes up to me and says we’re going to a Command Ship not that close to the Border Area for a conference meeting then to deploy to a proper Ship. And I acknowledged this.

I’m enjoying this time here as this can be my last days. I’m thinking why worry on something I have no control! I am here and I can’t back away now so I need to go all out and face this demon then go home, if I can.

I walk back again to my room to get some sleep because I’ll need all my rest and strength when I get there.

I wonder what the people on the other side are thinking! The Border has been there all along! What changed!

What are they afraid of! What intimidated them to get so aggressive!

I’m trying to put myself in their position as to why they’re encroaching on this part of the Zone!

This is Dam particular!

This should be resolved by a higher authority and they think it’s me! Even their Gods think it’s me!

What can I do!

I’m way out of my league here! How can I get out of this!

They seem to think this Percidean in me will come out and give then the security they need!

I’m just thinking here, I need to charge into this with my guns blazing! Oh! This is an idea! I have cannons in my Viper that I’m going in on. I wonder if with my use of cannons if they will counter! Or will they back away in fear of a full all out battle!

The back side of this! I could start an Inter Galactic Battle and trigger what they have been trying to avoid! An All Out War!

I could blame it on the Percidean residing in me!

They will hang me for doing this! But this is what the Raiders are doing! Hoping to push us back until we stand up to them then they will stop here and they will establish a new Border, Way back here!

This gives me an Idea! I plan something and put it in my tablet and file it away. My idea is going to blow them away! I started smiling and laughing to myself! I feel easy now and I fall asleep again. Oh I love this easy living here on this Ship! Any one of these Ships is so comfortable and they seem to just glide in space!

I wake up on a notice to report to the eating place in a few. I know it isn’t that important or they would have asked me to report to the Command Room Area. I get up and shower and get dressed and go to get something to eat in that eatery. They are here or most just getting here and we get our food and sit down. Then a few more Commanders walk in and get their selections and sit close by. They want to go over some details. They say they we will get there in a few quid’s and they want to get a few things in order. This Commander says we don’t want to push you but tell us what direction we are taking!

There’s some Ships gathering there at the set point and they want us to get there then discuss things. He says we should get there and we are all set for this and we would like to have an idea in our direction!

I ask if the ships Wings are staying here and he says this Ship and its company is staying here but for only a few quid’s. The Wings are in standby if needed. He says only you are to go there in your Viper. He asks what do you want on your Viper! I tell him I want a scan Viper ready and I want it prepped and ready as soon as possible. I ask for Cannons and the Commander looks at the Deck Commander and says he has all the Cannons you need and want! I say good! Lets arm my Viper and I want this done soon. He excuses himself and leaves in a hurry. The Commander says you sure you want this so soon! Maybe they want to conduct a plan of contact first!

I say are you willing to stake your life on that!

I want Cannons at my side. I can see they are very hesitant when pushed for battle. I can see they don’t seem to have the guts for action, I can just see it in their eyes!

Maybe the Raiders are just as hesitant and they’re just edging over the line just to see what we will do! Or perhaps not! I seem to like this game! I want to play so badly!

This Adviser asks what do we expect with this meeting you are going to! What do we expect!

I put my drink down and say the Raiders keep pushing the issue and we keep backing away. Clearly they have the upper hand on this situation and they know it! There are waiting for us to come up with something and with this they will know something about us. There is an issue they are not willing to discuss at this moment and this might not be revealed so soon. I believe they are waiting on their Command Staff to make a decision based on our actions. He asks should we back away and wait for them! I tell them no, we will not play their game and not let them know we are willing to back away. We will stand firm and see what they intend to do.

This Official says we cannot use force to stop them! This could escalate and then what will this do! Then several are talking back and forth. This goes back and forth as it is getting serious! I just watch them as they show a different side of them! The Captain is here too and looks at me and says I see what you have done! Now what have you decided to do!

I tell him I have no plan yet! Then everyone has stopped and are now looking at me! I tell them I am not there to see what the situation is really like! I would like to go towards the Zone and see for myself! This Adviser says surely you have some kind of plan! We just cannot come in and not know what we are doing! They will throw us back further than that Planet you came from! The Wing Commander says you are playing with fire!

I tell him they all know we back away but what will they do if we don’t! What if we take a stand! I want to see if they want to talk! But I have no idea as to what they will react to! I am not there to make a plan but I plan to!

No, I have no plan for this as for right now but after I see things there, I will know! I will be in meetings with all the Officials and Commanders as well as the many Advisers and I will put this together and I will know of a plan but how can I plan something when I know nothing except what we have here! All you do is ask me questions then scuff at my remarks! I need to go there and go out on a patrol and view their actions. If they cross the Border then they are in violation and it is they who are seeking war not I or us! What is our purpose here if not to guard this Border then what! To back away perhaps all the way back to our Home World! I am here to stop this backward stance and stabilize the Border and I will stop this.

They are now just looking at me and I continue. I’ve been asked to bring our Wings up to Battle Ready and why haven’t anyone asked for this reason! It is better to be ready for anything. I believe we are ready but only in battle will we know if each pilot will pull the trigger and end a life, in favor of our lives, our Home World! I am capable of doing this and I will push the issue even if I’m not intimidated, I will push it!

I sit back and wait for a backlash but they are silent.

We finish our meal and we walk to the Command Room to view more information. We walk the distance and then we walk in and the other Commanders are still going over some situation statuses. They say the situation at the Border is in turmoil! There are several Raiders still coming across the Zone area and they are just coming and going!

I ask if we have any patrols in the area and he says we just have patrols around the Ships and not venturing out to the Zone. I remark, Oh! They are trying to get us to come out and play! They looked at me in a puzzled way!

I say to them they are just wondering if we are going to do anything about it! Then I ask about the situation back at the other gathering and the Planet. He says the Warrior is still in battle and we still do not have any contact with him. He turns and asks do you think he is doing well! I tell him he is hiding and is probably waiting to see what the others are doing before he shows his hand. He will soon come out and that’s when the action starts. They say this is not the way that strategists talk! He says the way it is handled is in a professional way. I say War Is Hell and All is Fair!

Then someone says you have a notification. I ask what is it! It’s from a Commander from a Command Ship in that area of the gathering at the Planet.

I tell him put it through, I’ll take it right here.

It’s my Commander friend and he asks do you know of the status in the Planet! I tell him I was just reviewing the situation. He says he is in a battle and we do not know the details but then he went in hiding. Do you have any comments you want to share!

I’m thinking this Commander wants to know if I have any insights to this. I tell him he is probably viewing them and wants to catch them in an activity and not to worry! Then he says he is taking many bold steps and constantly pushing things to the limits! He is always on edge! I say to him he Is An Unstoppable Warrior! Treat him properly! Then we closed.

We stay here watching the activity on the Border then I tell them I’m going to the Hanger Deck to check on my Viper. I turn and walk out. I go towards the Hanger Deck and I don’t waste any time getting there and I walk in on them as they are loading my Viper very carefully. I remember I had seen some nasty stuff back at the Star Planet and I wish I had some of that stuff here.

The Deck Commander and the crews greet me and I tell them to continue and they are proceeding to load with great care! I ask him if he has anything else besides these contact proximity detonators! He says they have different kinds but they are made the same and nothing else!

I shake my head and say I need something Special but it will take some time to get what I need. He says this place can manufacture things here and I say what I want can disrupt some systems when done right. He says we have nothing like that but we can request something like that. It will take some time to get here but it can be done!

I get my tablet and access the information that I gave the Chemical Engineers back at Star Planet and relay this to him and he leaves to relay it. I stand here as they go over several things then the Deck Commander comes back. He says this will take some time but anything is possible.

Then I climb up on this nice looking Viper and look inside. It’s just fantastic and I bend down to look at it closer. Then I sit in this Fully Armed Viper and I access the systems and I go through the armament and it checks out alright. Then I say I want it to be capable to drop some of them if I want to and he says it is all programmed, just access it. I do and the program is there and I set it up for quick access. Then I notice it doesn’t have a full supply of air so I ask him to completely service it in case I want to go long distance. They are all over it in a few seconds.

I get hungry and so I walk out to get something to eat and I head to the eatery. I had just eaten a few hours ago but I want to sample some of the other stuff they have there! I had seen something that my Commander friend had back at the other Command Ship so I want to sample it here.

These people here have it easy! There’s so many things going on here and so much to see and all of this is very interesting for me. I can live here and do some simple work and stay for some time. Yeah but these people have paid for my services and I must perform my duties! But wait a minute! This deal was for three years and it’s past that already! Hey, I need to renew my contract!

Then some crewmen are walking by and I acknowledge them but don’t say a word but I want to! I get to the eatery and I’m looking for the specialty foods and there it is. Crazy looking kind of vegetable but they say it tastes good so I put some of it on my plate and then some drink. I also get some sweets and other stuff and I’m having some fun.

These people go to many different places and Planets and they stock up with all kinds of foods and they don’t mind if you eat several times. I heard they have a special place that cultivate the foods and these Ships go there for these foods.

After awhile I get up and go to my room. I’m tired and full and I know I need to get my full charge and keep it full. I shower then come out feeling fresh then put on something simple. I relax back on my bed and start to review my tablet then after a long while I feel sleepy and I turn and fall asleep.

Again I sleep well and don’t get bothered and then it is early for me. I see the time and I know I have rested for five hours but I feel hungry. I get up and refresh myself and check my tablet. I look at the time setting and calculate then I see we still have another day and some before getting to this set point to transfer to this Command Ship and have this meeting.

I get dressed and head out to get my breakfast. I walk in and get plenty of these small cups of sweetish pastes of food and relax for a minute then later I head to the Command Room Area.

I walk in and see everyone in the Meeting Rooms kinda busy so I keep going to the Main Area. I see everyone busy here too and check out the systems updating setup systems and see them all still busy as they keep scanning at the systems. I turn and go straight to the back and the Big Console Terminal and try to view the Zone. I access it and scan around.

I spend hours here without getting bothered and this is great! I study every move they have made for the last few days then again then keep going back days before. Nothing is different except they have been pushing it a little at a time. There is no set pattern that I can detect! Then I look at our responses to their actions and there’s no pattern neither! I am stumped and I’m running out of time here!

At this Gathering Meeting they will expect me to have a good favorable answer and plan but I don’t have any idea so far! Then I look at our ships and what kind of signature we are sending. I run it through our systems and check and cross check it and nothing. I change our sequence linear sequential and change it to a different coded cordial in the linear recrudesce then change the colors again and all the while I’m monitoring the linear plates and it shows nothing to the sequential! This is strange because at least it would show a variant in the waves or even a distortion but the changes are moderate as to their ships signatures as they come and go!

Then I have an idea and I switch the waves this ship creates and sends as a separate signature. It shows moderate recrudesce in the plates but it is not enough to show up in the coded cordial! Then I expand it then some more. It does show some moderate waves that resonate beyond the active recrudesce but at a distance. The effect is like throwing water into a still pond but the waves here compresses then expands in a rhythm! If anyone can detect this then you can see a ship in this configuration but you would have to have a ship so equipped to detect this! My Viper is equipped in this fashion and it is the only ship capable to detect this, that I know of and you have to know of this!

Now I know I can detect ships so equipped when I’m there! Interesting! Our ships are not set up this way only our Viper and only my scan Viper! Now I have a sort of plan but it is nothing important for them, they want an answer to this not just something simple! Somehow I get the feeling they are expecting something else! We think it is from us but maybe it is them! Interesting! Then the Captain walks in and sees me doing all of this. I have all the systems up in graphs everywhere and so much details in motion. He says can you actually monitor everything all at once! I tell him yes I can, I can tell when there are changes in the rhythmic pulses and the changes it creates on the linear sequential when it is in motion in accordance with the plates in the coded sequential.

He waives his hands and says what have you found! I look at him and he says never mind. I say I thought so; my answers are not that simple. He says you have been here for such time, no, all while without taking a break. I look at the time sequence and say oh my Gool! He says you have all night then one more level before we get there. Then he says Percidean, you need to update us with what you have, if we can understand it. I tell him I will try but my answer will still be the same as before.

Then he says you can give us your opinion! I tell him, hum, I can give you an assumption as to the coded Doctrine but I don’t think they follow this. He says no we don’t but you can make some references to them, as a start. Surely Percideans can do this! Can’t you! I tell him I need some rest but first I’m getting something to eat. He nods at me then I put the systems back then walk out. He stands here then looks at me then the systems then the console then at me!

I smile then turn and make my way to the eatery, which isn’t a long walk but I get there and then I walk in. I select my foods then drink then sit and eat. Again I’m not bothered and I stare into nothing as I’m trying to recall the linear sequential then the coded doctrine, as I can recall.

I know I can monitor their way, their direction and see if they are sending or receiving anything unusual. Then I’m through and go to my room. Again I shower then hit the sack. I try to relax but still I’m trying to recall what I had been monitoring. I know there’s something but I need to immerse myself into this some more. Then somewhere in this I fall asleep.

I have a good sleep as I wake and look around. I know this place is nice but something is missing! I slowly get up then go refresh myself. I get dressed then try to recall my sleep. No I hadn’t dreamt of anything important, then I shake my head and walk out to get my breakfast. I look around and there’s several crew guys coming and going but they are just busy as I am, I guess, hard to tell. Again I select my foods and drink then sit and eat. This Commander turns and looks at me and I nod at him and he says I guess you’re feeling better from yesterday! I tell him I’ve had so much to recall from all the programs I’ve been running! It’s like I was still seeing them and I was trying to see if I missed anything . . . and I didn’t. He just turns away and I smile at this!

I don’t spend too much time here when I get a notice to come to the Command Room Area but the notice is not marked as urgent. I finish what I can then leave. I don’t take long then I turn the corner and get here and go to the Commander. He’s viewing the statuses and tells me to get ready because they are coming up to the sector and they didn’t want to get caught by surprise. I ask how soon! He says this time at the bottom but our Command Staff wants an update, they don’t want to be waiting on you at the last moment. I look around and he says I just now sent them the notice. I nod in acknowledgement and go to the Main Terminal and bring up what I found but not everything.

Then I bring up the Border and the positions of our ships in proximity of the Zone Area. Then I notice their positions have moved somewhat! It is just a little but why did they move! I compare their positions to days past and find them moving around but not that much. They are now half mile to the Nordic position and still patrolling out into the Zone area! If I had my super scans I could scan in their direction and see why or what they made room for! I certainly hope they are not adding more to this!

Then they start walking in, all at the same time! I don’t turn to them but keep at my systems. Then they are all here including the Captain. He looks at me and I acknowledge him too. This Adviser asks have you been monitoring the activities at the Zone! I respond yes I have and there have been some changes but nothing significant. He says they have been moving back and forth, did you know that! Then this Official says I didn’t know that! Then they are talking back and forth and the Captain says he has been monitoring the Zone Area and he knows. Then another Adviser asks what do you know about this!

I have the graph up and say they have been moving back and forth during all this time. It is the placement of our Command Ship and the Support Ship that keeps edging in. Sometimes it comes in further up then down the Border. They move their Ships accordingly. Today they have moved up in accordance with the time waves. I’m not there to run deep scans if their expecting company from their side.

I don’t see any reason to be so alarmed by their ships placement when it is us causing this. Apparently they can detect our ships at the Border and we don’t seem to get detection signals from them, or at least we haven’t gotten reports on that. Then again they may not have been monitoring it! I’m not there to see these things.

The Captain says there has been no mention on any scans detection. I ask has anyone asked for this, at anytime! Nobody says anything and I say well I presume I’ll look into this also when I get there. I tell them I have no answer to their no response to a meeting. I will do more reviews when I get there and believe me I will add more to my reports. This is all.

Then they all get up and leave, one by one. The Captain says I thought you were going to say something to them about all of the work you were doing yesterday. I tell him all my checks were undetermined. I went from scans to ships distortion waves to open channels to power surges to underlying signals and ran different graphs and scanned for signatures and other detection waves from our areas especially when ships arrive and came up with nothing definitive.

He is shaking his head. I tell him I am here, so far away and it is not definitive for confirmation on this! I tell him I did see wakes of compressibility from distortions coming from ships powered from elliptical energy sources, this ship! But the wakes are nominal and could be anything unless you know what you’re looking for. He says so you did see something! I tell him this could also be misread as deep scan methods, turning on and off the scans at different intervals which anyone can do this.

He says if they can detect this then this could be a problem! I tell him we haven’t been in this area with these ships before and then they are here. Unless they have ears in our Command Structure. He shakes his head and says this is not possible. I tell him I didn’t think so neither. He says so you did do some good here yesterday. I tell him I just confirmed that we confirm nothing. He shakes his head again.

I smile and say I could check my systems for scans and when these types of ships are in the area. This could, when combined could cause a disturbance in the waves along with rhythmic pulses and this could be interpreted but it too can be just waves. I don’t know for sure and certainly not enough to bring up. I don’t think this would cause them to assemble such a push in their side on just these simple effects! But then I could be wrong.

I tell him I just confirmed that I need to be there to do my own checks and cross checks and run my own scan systems. That is if they leave me alone with the systems for an unspecified amount of time! He says and if all else fails! I tell him then I will go to my ways, as a Warrior does. He says don’t tell me! I tell him I will go out there and do some pushing of my own! He shakes his head again!

Then I lower the systems then turn and start to walk out.

He asks where are you headed to now!

I tell him to the Hanger Deck where else!

Then I make my way there. This is a smaller Command Ship and it doesn’t take long to get here. I get to the short tunnel, normally they have such a long tunnel with Meeting Rooms and small Side Hangers but this is not a typical Command Ship. Then bam I walk in, stroll in is more the word.

All the crews are walking around in groups going through mock drills and using the Hanger Deck as the space around this ship.

The Deck Commander comes to me and says is this really necessary!

I tell him these pilots are actually on their own when they are out there. Sure they follow a set pattern but what if they lose contact and they need to do this manually!

He says I see, but they do this so often!

I tell him then again it may be the Command Staff that has nothing better to do and see us and get annoyed!

He says I see!

Then he says this may be a better idea not to come here and pay so much attention to this!

I look at him and then the Flight Wing Commander says to me what do you see that I don’t see!

Then I look at the Deck Commander and he looks away.

I walk out on the Deck and see all of them looking at me!

I tell the pilots that are here close by me and say sure your following the patterns and so closely but are you so sure!

I go to this pilot holding this tablet following a pattern and ask are you so sure you are operating correctly!

He says I am in line with him!

I go to the pilot in front of him and ask, what pattern are you on!

He says the square D, I look at the Wing Commander and ask what pattern did you call out! He says Square P.

Then I look at the pilot and say to him Mister, you are on the wrong flight pattern and have the others behind you all screwed up!

Soon they will merge and your pattern will come oh so close to theirs in a cross direction!

Then I go the first pilot I questioned and ask, so you’re so sure you’re on the right pattern!

I see him with a lost look about him! I look at his tablet and back at him and I know he isn’t saying anything when he turns left but the pattern says they are not in line with the others!

Then I walk off and I hear so much confusion among the pilots as they are questioning their lead pilot and
