About this ebook

Hot times in Detroit, Michigan sure didn't mean hot flashes, a heatwave right after Christmas and a demon man chasing her through the city, even if he made her body light up like the fireworks on New Year's Eve.

Motor City Loving - Trinity Blacio

    Chapter One

Detroit was a mess. Businesses were shutting down right and left, but what was worse, homeowners had no one to call for help. The Police force was non-existent anywhere from Detroit out thirty miles out to the subs.

Unless of course if you belong to one of the two gangs that thrived down there, one human and one not. The human’s called themselves the Red Coffins.

Rhys Cox, leader of the other gang, if you called it a gang, snorted, watching his friends have fun with one of so-called Red Coffins. One thing he and his friends couldn’t stand and that was hurting women and children. This asshole they ran into had beat the crap out of a woman so badly that she couldn’t see. Rhys best friend, Garth had to transport her to the hospital, but not before he made sure the asshole was tied up and wouldn’t go anywhere till he got back. Hence the beating that was taking place now and it wasn’t a quick beating, it was a torture.

Just like him, every member of Dreads would not tolerate the hurting of opposite sex and children. I’m going out for some air, let’s not take all night. I want to go for a run, he said, and glanced at Garth, who had splattered blood running down his chin.

Give me five I’ll be out, he said, returning to finish the job.

Rhys stepped out into the night air. Something was different or off. For the past four hours the beast inside of him was watching as if waiting for something, but what he didn’t know. He stepped down off the porch walking towards his bike, hearing the motor. 1982 GT what the hell? he said, glancing towards the road when said car whipped by, followed by four Red Coffin members.

Rhys didn’t wait, the beast now fully alert needing to destroy those chasing the blue Mustang and the blond behind the wheel of the car. In seconds, Rhys was on his bike roaring with anger. Tonight, there was no mistake he would be killing those that would harm this lady.

Why? he growled, starting his bike up, just as his friends came running out of the large garage, they had bought last year.

Without a word each of his friends followed him, never questioning him as they raced down the street trying to catch up to the Red Coffins and the woman. "Mate," the beast inside him snarled.

To say he was shocked was in understatement. Rhys had all but given up finding a true mate. At four hundred and fifty-six years old, he was getting close to his prime and by this time one of his kind already had their mates.

"What’s wrong?" Garth asked, pulling up next to him on his bike. "You are half changed."

He glanced at his friend and for the first time, Rhys could see the fear in his face. Turning his attention back towards the road, where he could now see the bikes ahead of him, Rhys only said one word. Amour.

Fuck, Garth shifted there on his bike and Rhys knew he was informing the others what was going on, but he didn’t care as he roared up to one of the bikes.

The beast took over, kicking at the motorcycle of the first bike and with his strength Rhys sent the bike spinning out of control as he continued after the other three bikers chasing his woman.

One of the men in front of him, glanced back and noticed him right behind him. Rhys would have laughed at his scared expression, but right now he was so furious nothing mattered but putting these men out of
