About this ebook

In this 100-day devotional, you will be inspired by God’s word.
Amy Hille shares important lessons from the Bible as well as some observations of her own. For instance, she notes that if you make it to 70 years old, you’ll live 25,550 days.
Her point is that life goes by fast—and you want to spend each day well, which means helping, encouraging, and loving each other well.
She also shares that having been born three months early and only weighing two pounds, she was supposed to live only twenty minutes. Now, she’s forty-four years old. She thanks the Lord for each day He has given her.
Psalm 118:24 says it best, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Learn how to spend your days serving God and others with the lessons and insights in God’s Peaceful Reminders.

    Note

    DAY 1

    Number Your Days

Our lives last seventy years or, if we are strong, eighty

    years. Even the best of them are struggle and sorrow;

indeed, they pass quickly and we fly away.

    —PSALM 90:10 (NLT)

H ave you ever thought about years in days? If you live to be seventy years old, that is equivalent to 25,550 days. This number makes me realize how fast life goes by. I want to make sure that I spend each day well. Each day should be spent with others, helping, encouraging, and most of all, loving one another well. When I break the years into days, I realize how short and precious life really is.

I was only supposed to live twenty minutes. I was born three months premature. I weighed only two pounds. I am now forty-three years old. Thank you, God, for each day you have given me. Please give me more days on this earth so that I can continue to complete your work and enjoy time with my family and friends. Psalm 118:24 says it best: This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. How can you use these days well to serve God?

    DAY 2

    Your Life’s Purpose

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live

righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

    —MATTHEW 6:33 (NLT)

G od will give you everything you need. Figure out your purpose in life and do it, regardless of what others say. Do it for God. Do it for you. God has given you precious minutes to live. God wants you to enjoy life by spending time with others, laughing, singing, traveling the world, enjoying food, and playing with children. Spend time with friends, go on dates with your spouse, and sit face-to-face with others instead of texting them on your phone.

God wanted me to write this devotional. I have wanted to write it for over ten years. God gave me everything I needed. I just need to trust him. Matthew 7:7 says, Keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. Pray to God often. Ask him what he wants you to do with your life. Then listen to his answer. What is God telling you to do on this earth? Ponder that for a minute.

    DAY 3

    Don’t Worry

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

    —1 PETER 5:7 (NLT)

S omeone once told me that worrying is praying for what you don’t want. That stopped me in my tracks. Instead, pray for what you want in your life. Focus on what you want instead of what you don’t want. Even Jesus said not to worry
