    Introduction

We all have busy lives. As women, we are wives, mothers, executives, entrepreneurs, athletes, teachers, students and so much more. Our days and nights are full.

We move from one task to the next. Picking up this and dropping off that. Sometimes we go on retreats, take vacations or carve out time for a sabbatical. We are always on the go.

But what happens when some part of our life comes to a screeching halt? Like when we get laid off from our jobs, or we don’t get the job we want? But instead of being a happy, newly married woman, I was stressed, depressed, worried, angry, scared, and just plain miserable all the time. I was so anxious and desperate to get a new job I ended up taking a job at a public relations firm that was not a good fit. That was the year I learned about God’s perfect and permissive will.

The second time I got laid
