Who are you?

I am the Reading Ninja. An anonymous member of a crew of book-obsessed ninjas with a mission to spread the ‘Reading is RAD’ word. I can’t tell you my name, but I can tell you about some incredible children’s books.

What is your background?

My background is in art, fashion and myriad creative endeavours. I have an artistic outlook on life that was embedded in me by my mum. She is a painter, and I grew up going to art museums and had a never-ending supply of paint. My dad gave me an unconventional rebellious attitude; he is not a rule follower, and it’s safe to say I’m not exactly one either. Together they instilled in me a confidence and curiosity for learning and trying new things. I’ve always loved children’s books, and my interest grew rapidly once I had kids of my own.
