Tell us about yourself and the people in your family.

I live in London with my husband, John, my son, Dylan (six), and I’m currently pregnant but will have given birth by the time you are reading this. I am part of a big close family, and my sister and brother live around the corner.

I am a cook and focus on vibrant, easy, vegetable-led food. I am passionate about food as a force for good and a catalyst for change and connection.

How did your career get started?

I was working a job I didn’t feel passionate about and had itchy feet. One day I was on the train to work and picked up a newspaper with an article saying you can determine your calling by which part of the Sunday paper you turn to first. For me, it was always the recipe section. It was like a light bulb went off. I knew I had to cook. Through some good luck and a bit of tenacity, I was part of the selection process for Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen cooking program a few days later. I quit my job by the end of the week.
