About this ebook
Do you imagine God being distant or too busy to be concerned about the details of your life? Do you wonder about the meaning of life or yearn for purpose? When you let God take the driver's seat on life's journey, you're in for an incredible adventure. When my daughter, Brandy and I embarked on a business venture with God, I experienced remarkable "coincidences." We came to refer to them as "God stories." This book is the result of Brandy's insistent prodding that I write them down. If you have experienced personal tragedy and heartbreak as I have, take heart. The Creator of heaven and earth loves you dearly and is always in control. He desires a relationship with you! Life on earth is short and uncertain. "Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes" James 4:14. The day will come when he will gather the faithful to spend eternity with him. While on earth, seek God's will and your unique purpose, and come to expect and recognize miracles along the way!

Miraculous Or Mere Coincidence? - Lisa Webb
Preface
When my daughter, Brandy and I opened the first Treasure Trove Collectibles
store in 2016, we could not have imagined the remarkable adventure we were about to embark on with God. It’s been an incredible, faith-building journey, learning to get onboard with God’s plan. We discovered that He delights in the details of our lives as we saw God’s hand in every aspect of establishing the new business. Brandy and I called these God-stories.
She encouraged me to write them down, along with many more accounts of God’s miraculous intervention in my life. This book is the result. It is my hope when reading my stories that you are inspired to view your own life through a spiritual lens.
Introduction
Do you wonder if God performs miracles? Do you picture him distant or too busy to be interested in the lives of every one of us? Maybe you aren’t convinced that God cares about you and the things that matter to you. Psalms 37:23 states that God delights in every detail of your life.
As I get older, with the ever-growing list of experiences I have to reflect upon, I find I’m seeing God’s hand in my life more clearly. God desires a close relationship with me, and he yearns to have a relationship with you! God has caused me to chuckle and cry tears of joy more times than I can count, especially in the last few years since wholly surrendering to him and letting him navigate my life’s journey. I can truly say God never ceases to amaze me!
Whether you’re curious if there is something beyond the physical world, a new believer or have been a Christ-follower for 50 years, I hope you will find these stories intriguing and maybe even challenging. My goal is to inspire you to look at events in your own life through a spiritually sensitive lens so that you will not miss the Lord’s often gentle leading through circumstances and will seek to know him more.
It begins with an open heart. He stands at the door and knocks and waits to be invited in.
He wants to guide you on your life’s journey and promises to give you life more abundant! When you read these unlikely
and sometimes incredible
personal accounts that my daughter, Brandy and I refer to as God stories,
you decide: Are they mere coincidences or are they the miraculous actions of a loving, sovereign God?
Chapter One: When Tragedy Strikes, God is Still in Control.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds
(Psa. 147:3).
When tragedy strikes, one tends to look up to the heavens in despair and question God and his divine providence. Did God cause what happened? Did he allow it? Imploring, God, if you’re up there, why did you let this happen? After all, if we have lost someone, the fact is, our world will never be the same. We are left to grapple with that harsh reality and try to move past it.
Let’s consider the flawed logic of blaming God. We are incredibly special to him!
Scripture says that we are the crowning glory of his creation and that we are made in his image. Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet
(Psa. 8:5-7).
He created us for an intimate relationship, calling us his children. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him
(1 John 3:1). In fact, the bible tells us that he loves us so much that he sent Jesus to Earth to die for our sins so that we could be reconciled to God. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life
(John 3:16). Consider the immense love that God must have for us.
Secondly, God is sovereign. He has supreme power and authority. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through him and by him
(Colossians 1:16).
His tremendous power and majesty and abounding love make him more than able to handle anything we will face in this world. Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you
(Jer. 32:17).
God Knows Your Pain and Will Be Your Source of Peace.
In my late twenties, I never expected to hear a voice on the other end of the phone say that my brother, barely out of his teens, had been shot several times and didn’t survive. So many things rushed through my head, and in the depths of despair, I turned to God. Raising all the usual questions, I knew there would be no satisfactory answers. I would miss Russ and never be able to fully understand why his life would be cut short in such a violent way. I didn’t blame God. I understood that this world is temporal and that sin often results in tragedy. Still, it was hard to wrap my mind around and accept. After the initial shock and much prayer, I remembered God was, and had always been in control. I chose to remain steadfast in my faith, faith in a loving God, which had sustained me since I was a little girl growing up in a dysfunctional environment. God has never failed me. I would experience his love like never before amid my sorrow. Peace came over me. It was the peace that I had read about in the bible and sang about in church, the peace that passeth understanding. God had already been at work prior to the events of that terrible day and the weeks that followed. One day, just a few weeks earlier, I was fellowshipping with
