As a mirror reflects you back.
Do you see those eyes –
Cleansed after many cries
Brown in beauty, weakened at times,
But still the place where hope lies?
Do you see those lips –
Capable of long conversations
Innocent kisses, loud laughter
The place where breath is captured
And stretched into a smile?
Are you beginning to see what I see?
