KEY #1
THE MOST IMPORTANT KEY IN RELATIONSHIPS
THE MOST IMPORTANT quality and character trait of a relationship is humility. Humility is freedom from arrogance. When you are humble, you don't think of yourself as more important than anyone else. The foundation is the most important part of a building. The foundation supports and holds up the building. A solid foundation prevents the building from falling. It prevents cracks in the structure. The foundation of a solid relationship is unconditional love. This is love without conditions. This type of love seeks the very best for your partner. This type of love will cause us to serve our partner. The mindset of a servant seeks to assist and add value to your partner. It aims to solve problems for your partner. It aims to make life better for your partner. This type of love will cause you to walk in humility towards your partner. The opposite of humility is pride and arrogance. The foundation of arrogance in a relationship is not solid. This foundation is weak. A weak foundation of a building will not hold that building up. A weak foundation will cause a building to sink. A weak foundation in a relationship will cause it not to hold up. A weak foundation will cause the relationship to fall. Arrogance can't be the foundation of your relationship.
Arrogance believes that you are better and more important than someone else. It's an attitude of superiority. When one or both people in a relationship have an arrogant mindset, the relationship will not hold up. It will sink. It will not last. If you or your partner do any of the following, you will need to humble yourself quickly to salvage your relationship. These are the characteristics of an arrogant person. They refuse to say and have difficulty saying they are wrong when needed. They refuse to say sorry when needed. They think they are always right. They refuse to get help if needed. They refuse to get counsel if needed. They insult their partner. They believe that
