    PREFACE

B ECAUSE OF OUR journey of sharing knowledge and the ability to access energy, both Earth and Spiritual to enhance the health and well-being of others, we have been asked to expand The Light Alliance Energy Centers Openings and Healing Modality to include animals. As we frequently engage in this practice as part of our daily activities, we feel this subject is important to address.

In our experience as energy practitioners, we can recall many instances when the principles of the modality were successful when applied to animals. While the application method of energy varies from animal to animal, the basic principles are consistent with the overall objectives of the modality. We recognize that the universality of the modality lent itself to expanding the program to include all expressions of One Energy. As such, we feel it is appropriate to include a comprehensive addendum to the L.A.M. Healing modality program to address domestic and wild animals as an integral part of our program. This book also will serve as a stand-alone textbook for those who only wish to take that course.

We acknowledge that misinformation commonly exists in our contemporary society about the nature of animals. This misunderstanding has created a collective consciousness that has diminished not only our understanding of the purpose of animals but also their irreplaceable inclusion within the Eternal Web of Life (also known as the Universal Web of Life). Animals are created from the One Energy that is infinite and eternal, and this is frequently misunderstood, rejected, or disregarded by many people worldwide. It is toward creating a universal understanding of not only the One Energy but every created expression of the unconditional love of the Divine that we explore, in-depth, the purpose for creating animals as an inseparable part of all life experienced on our planet.

We desire to create within each student - as they progress in their training to become animal health and well-being practitioners - a profound understanding of not just the One Energy but its application to all life. The outcome of this instructional approach and journey of discovery is a deep, comprehensive, and abiding understanding of Oneness.

The Animal Health and Well-being Modality instruction and certification can be incorporated into our Practitioner 1 and 2 and Master Practitioner level curriculum; it is also taught as a stand-alone course. Upon completing and demonstrating the required knowledge and practical application of what you have learned, you will be certified to conduct animal health and well-being sessions. If your desire is to teach and certify others, you can take the Master Practitioner certification course as well. This Master Teacher course allows you, through additional instructions, to become certified to train and certify others.

    INTRODUCTION

A S STATED, OUR purpose for this course is to enhance the health and well-being of animals.

We begin our discussions by approaching this subject from a spiritual understanding of the One Energy. This energy also created all expressions of life on Earth and throughout the created physical realm. All life, regardless of its form, is an inseparable part of an expansion by the Divine. In the Beginning, the Divine expanded to create and sustain all Spirits that shall ever be. Some life forms were created to be what we call animals. Each animal life form expresses the One Energy, created for a specific purpose. The attributes defined by animals, reflected by and contained within the Divine energy, are unconditional love, compassion, and purpose. The One Spirit encompasses and animates all creatures and all forms, from the simplest one-cell expression to the most complex ones created, imparting to each the energy that is their life force.

In Chapter 2, we address the attributes and nature of animals. We explore how animal life differs from the human experience. We will discuss instinct as an attribute of animal expression and their learned behavior from experiences that shaped their responses to life events and circumstances. We include both domestic and wild animal differences to round out discussions.

In Chapter 3, we address the Eternal Web of Life, what it is, how and why it was created - its purpose, and how all expressions of the One Energy are inseparably connected within this universal energy. We intend to develop within the student a profound understanding of the interconnectedness of all life and how each expression co-exists within the infinite and eternal energy of the One Spirit. Comprehending this connection enables us to properly apply energy to enhance the health and well-being of animals. We utilize this connection to send energy and assess its specific requirements and intensity to match what is most beneficial for the animal to receive.

Knowledge of Energy, what it is, and where it comes from is discussed in depth in Chapter 4. This chapter is foundational to understanding how and why we approach the health and well-being of animals from a holistic format. Understanding this energy and how to properly use it is indispensable to acquire the knowledge and the ability to apply the maximum benefits from proper application. You will learn to access and harness energy sources, both Earth and those originating in the spiritual realm or the Absolute. You will also learn to harness additional sources of energy that become available to you as you spiritually mature in your awareness and ability to access them.

Following our discussion of the One Energy, you will experience your first open-to-the-energy session. A Master Practitioner (your teacher) will utilize a series of hand positions and a breathing technique to open your major, sub-major, and minor energy centers. These centers will then be opened and balanced. This opening prepares you to access, store, and transmit earth energies available in your environment. These energies are for the health and well-being of animals as applied through the animal modality. Your meridians are also open and balanced in conjunction with your energy centers. This opening and balancing are imperative to working with animals, as animals are unified with the One Energy. When your energy is not unified and balanced, you cannot access or enhance the vitality of animals. For this reason, you will experience three energy center openings that occur sequentially at specific points in your training.

Once your energy centers and meridians are opened, balanced, and synchronized to the same frequency, your ability to access available energy sources is enhanced. You will also become more sensitive to all life’s energy. This ability enables you to feel the energy surrounding the animal and to apply it to those areas that require a higher frequency. This allows the removal of any blockages that may be present within the overall energy of the animal. You will continue to grow in your ability to feel the energy and to sense its frequencies the more proficient and perceptive you become. As your knowledge increases, additional sources of life force energy will become available. Your knowledge of Oneness will expand as you become aware of the interconnectedness of every expression of the One Energy within the Universal Web of Life. We discuss this vital facet of your training in Chapter 5.

In Chapter 6, we identify the energy centers, major, sub-major, and minor, where appropriate, for typical domestic families of animals. We also discuss wild animals within each family and those who have become feral. The families concerned are canine, feline, equine, bovine, primates, mammals, avian, reptiles, spiders, and the like. We aim to address each family regarding domestic interaction and non-domestic species found in nature. Illustrations of major, sub-major, and minor energy centers, where appropriate, are included in Chapter 9 for each family discussed in Chapter 6. Energy movement within each expression is also addressed to familiarize the student with the flow of energy as it is drawn by the animal and circulates throughout its body. We also discuss how the intensity of the life force can be assessed and addressed through the application of energy to enhance the animal’s health and well-being.

We discuss the application of energy to all animals concerning the position of each energy center and the blockages that occur due to illness, injury, and environmental conditions the animal may experience. Learned behaviors may also conflict with the animal’s innate nature and attributes. These conditions often result from the animals experiencing physical or emotional abuse. When an animal is forced to be what it was never intended for, this causes internal stress that manifests in various behaviors that are not in character with what the animal was intended to be. These instances are pretty common in our contemporary society.

The application of energy differs from the energy applied to those Spirits having a human physical experience. Animals do not experience blockages due to ego concerns; they are devoid of ego and know only Oneness. As such, any blockages we may discover are due to organic causes, physical injury, or experientially-based sources. We explain, in detail, this essential difference between the animal and human experience of Spirit. We illustrate hand positions, where appropriate, for each family where direct application of energy is possible. This principally addresses domestic animals. When hand positions are impossible, we explain these instances with instructions on applying the energy where wild or feral animals are concerned.

In many cases, these animals (wild or feral) will not have specific energy centers. Their bodies are viewed as one energy center that comprises their overall energetic makeup. In these instances, we apply energy to the whole of the animal’s body through a procedure we call Reaching. This procedure will be explained in detail as we proceed with our studies in Chapter 7. Those placements are also illustrated in Chapter 9.

Reaching is the application of energy where physical contact is not possible. This is especially so with wild animals, including feral dogs and cats. This includes additional sources of earth energy available to you in your environment.

We explain how an animal interacts with and within the energy of its environment. This knowledge is essential for practitioners as they join with the animal to harness energy. Coupled with this understanding is the ability to read the aura and feel its energy. These abilities enable you to assess the animal’s life force, intensity, and balance. Since physical contact is not always possible, these two skills are fundamental to learning and attaining proficiency. They are a vital part of the instruction you will receive. We address Reaching in Chapter 7.

In Chapter 8, we discuss the basic level of knowledge and proficiency necessary to complete your certification as an animal practitioner. The curriculum is presented in four segments – The Interview, The Introduction, The Modality Session, and The Post-Session Review and Observations.

Beginning with The Interview, you will learn what questions to ask the animal’s owner to understand the behavior patterns and related information you will incorporate into the modality. During The Interview, you will gain knowledge to help you know the animal and its behavior patterns, likes, dislikes, and other pertinent information.

You will require time to complete The Introduction session with the animal. This is getting to know the animal and the animal getting to know you. This is a process of you and the animal becoming more comfortable together; it may require several visits before the modality session is conducted.

The Modality Session is built on the information you receive from the owner
