Ready to Go Bible Messages 3 - Pilgrim Preacher

Seven Perfections of The Son of God

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Some people say, ‘All religions lead to Heaven.’

The bible says there is salvation in no other name but Jesus Christ. Why?

The seven perfections of the Son of God:

    1: Perfect Son of God

John 1:1-3 - John endeavors to show this fact. Word thought and spoken.

Vs. 4, 5 – Where life is, there is light. The Divine life in men is their light.

    V. 18 – In the bosom of the Father. C.F. John 17:5

Prophesied one throughout Old Testament times. Christ means Anointed One.

2: Came from a Perfect Heaven

1 Timothy 6:16 - Came from the Father’s bosom to save Adam’s race.

Heaven is a place of perfect light, a holy place of holy beings.

The unique One who came from Heaven.

    3: Lived a Perfect Life

John 7:18 – Seeks God’s glory, the same is true/righteous.

John 8:29 – ‘I do always those things that please the Father.’

John 8:46 – ‘Which of you convicts me of sin.’

John 9:32, 33 – The blind man’s testimony concerning the healer.

Peter’s testimony – ‘Who did no sin.’

Pilate’s testimony – ‘I find no fault in him.’

Centurion’s testimony – ‘Truly this was the Son of God.’

Judas's testimony – ‘I have betrayed the innocent blood.’

    4: Shed Perfect Blood

Leviticus 17:11 – life is in the blood. Blood, altar, atonement.

Judas said – ‘the innocent blood.’

Hebrews 9:13 – 15 – Spotless Christ broken and spilled out on altar/cross.

5: Risen Because He is Perfect

Acts 2:23, 24, 31 - God accepted His person and raised Him from the tomb.

Where there is perfection, death has no business. Death cannot hold Him.

1 Corinthians 15:22 – Christ is the second Adam to make many alive.

6: Lives as Our Perfect High Priest

Hebrews 7:23 – 28 – A Priest dies, but this man continues ever.

Has no sin of His own to confess or answer to.

Able to save all who come through Him to God.

    Blameless character.

7: Coming Again as the Perfect King

1 Corinthians 15:24 – 28 – Christ is coming back again to reign on earth.

Psalm 72:11 – all rulers and nations shall bow before Him.

    Conclusion:

John 20:30, 31 – These testimonies of the seven perfections of the Son of God are written so that you may believe in Him for salvation today.

John 20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

    Things That God Cannot Do

There are things that God cannot do. Surprised? Let us note a few of them now:

    1: God Cannot Lie

Hebrews 6:16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. 6:17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

We may lie from time to time, but God cannot lie, or break His promise or oath to someone.

A contract ends confusion, distrust, and strife between two parties.

God promises eternal life and blessings to those who enter into His covenant of promise centered in His Son, Jesus Christ. God cannot lie concerning this.

A sinner flees to God for salvation, consolation, and inheritance with the saints. C.F. 1 Peter 1:4

With an oath, there is usually an interval between the agreement and the fulfillment – the oath is made strong to encourage those who wait. God sware by Himself, to make the covenant stronger. Jehovah’s oath is anchored in His eternal counsel and purpose.

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.

God is immutable, unchanging in character – James 1:17

God never needs to alter His counsels because nothing ever surprises Him or catches Him out – He sees it from beginning to end.

God promises to bless you with heavenly blessings – Romans 8:32

God cannot lose a saved soul. From God’s standpoint, a saved soul in His care is kept eternally - C.F. John 17:12 & 1 Peter 1:5

God cannot make you love Him – that is your choice. How close you walk with God is your choice. The duration
