Characters of the Bible Anna

Upon seeing the biblical character we’re featuring this Christmas season, the first question in the minds of some readers is probably, “Who?” There is only one person in the Bible named Anna, and all of three verses are devoted to her. Yet, Luke places her account at the end of his birth narrative about Jesus, forming the capstone in a series of events that declare the Messiah’s arrival.
