    Wicked I - Jackpot Grace

    Chapter 1

    Houston, TX:

Got that ass bitch! Run me my damn money! Scar shouted as the group of guys he was shooting dice with groaned.

Sabrina I wanna leave, Sasha said to her twin sister she was so uncomfortable with their surroundings.

Sasha stop whining you don't wanna go home you know how dad is, Sabrina said rolling her eyes. Sasha didn't like running the streets she wanted to be home she was afraid, but her sister? Her sister loved the streets, easy access to drugs, and boys.

Yo Sabrina, you comin’ through for ya boy tonight right? Scar asked licking his lips and Sabrina smiled and nodded.

    Don't I always.

You gone bring yo cute sister? He asked his eyes settled on Sasha who shook her head. Scar was always attracted to Sasha. To him Sasha was a good girl, did all her school, didn’t run the streets, she barely ever came outside like kids her age. She was so good she didn’t realize what was going on right under her nose. Scar loved how innocent how innocent she was, her smile lit up the whole block. When the Abdul twins blossomed men noticed, Sabrina was way more out there than Sasha was. Somehow since she was so easy to get men didn’t look her way like they looked Sasha’s way. What was even crazier was that Sasha didn’t realize how much juice she had, she was only 14 with the dreams of someday joining the FBI or even becoming a lawyer she didn’t know for sure yet, but she knew she would be successful and marry the man of her dreams by 25. She would someday be away from all of this and live a nice comfortable life.

I'm staying at home, Sasha spoke for herself and Sabrina rolled her eyes.

    No fun-

Yall need a ride home? Scar asked

    Yes, Sabrina said

No, Sasha responded, Sasha did not get into cars with strangers. She would not put herself in a position to be taken an advantage of.

Imma walk her home and you can pick me up from the house, Sabrina said and Scar nodded. Although Sabrina wanted Scar, Scar couldn't seem to keep his eyes off of Sasha. It was something about her that was drawing him in more and more each time he saw her. Sasha thought he was a creep, but she also realized that girls her age were popping up with these older men more and more. It was almost normal to see an older guy chasing the younger girls. Sasha thought it was sick, she wanted to do something about it, but girls her age loved bragging about being with an older man. Her sister was one of those girls.Come on cry baby.

You need to leave them alone you gone end up dead and he like 32, Sasha said as she followed her sister back toward their house.

Shut up and live a little our lives already fucked up Sash, Sabrina said their mom had left them a few months ago once she let it slip that her twin girls didn't belong to her husband. She couldn't face that so she ran leaving her three kids behind. While her older son did belong to him, the twins didn't so he treated them differently.

Though they were in pain they had each other and that was enough to keep Sasha going. Her sister on the other end was deep in the streets, doing any drug she could and letting any man inside her. She lied about her age and she even allowed multiple men at a time to have her. She did anything she could to feel less pain even if it meant degrading herself.

She was all Sasha had and as days went on Sasha knew she was losing her more and more. You really about to go with him? He not safe and who wants to ride around with a 14-year-old?

First of all Scar runs the south he's the biggest drug dealer out right now. If I make him fall in love that's step 1 to gettin us out of this fucked up shit. Maybe he’ll marry me and I won’t have to sign a prenup then we could kill him.

This not the way to go, doin all-

Sasha one day you'll thank me until then leave me alone and let me take care of us.

Sabrina did take care of them she made sure they ate and had lunch money for school. And although the kids at school called Sabrina a slut and a hoe she did what she had to do for her and her sister. Their dad wasn't feeding them and he hit them every chance he got. They were just a reminder that he wasn't man enough for his wife.

Go in the house and be unseen until I get back okay? Sabrina said to her sister as they stopped in front of their house, Scar's Monte Carlo had pulled up across the street.

Come on lil mama we got money to make.

Sabrina you don't need to go. He don't care about you enough to keep you safe.

Just go in the house, Sasha! Sabrina shouted at her.

Fine but don't say I ain't warn you. That life you tryina live? Ain't gone get you shit but killed. Sasha hissed angrily at her sister before she stormed off into the house.

Sasha's eyes popped open as she heard a knock at the door red, white, and blue lights were lighting up her room. She got up out the bed quickly and rushed over to the window a police car sat outside her house. They'd turned their lights off and got out of the car making their way toward her front door.

She looked at her sister's bed and noticed she wasn't in the bed. They'd started knocking on the door and she cracked her bedroom door open to listen to what was being said. Her father opened the front door. Mr. Abdul? An officer said taking his hat off.

    That's me.

We are sorry to inform you that we found your 16-year-old daughter Sabrina Abdul dead on 3rd street... Sasha had stopped listening those words alone broke her heart. Her sister was all she had, the only thing worth living for. They were supposed to escape this house together and go to college.

The only person in the world that protected her was gone. In that moment she went numb, and the tears wouldn't even fall. She didn't have any more tears, at that moment she felt her heart turn cold. She knew something bad had happened she only ever dreamed of her sister and their memories when something bad happened to her.

She was knocked out of her train of thought when her room door was pushed open. It slammed up against the wall loudly catching Sasha's attention. Aye  yo sister dead. Her father said harshly before he finished his journey down to his bedroom to go back to sleep. He didn't feel an ounce of pain, she wasn't his anyway.

Sasha’s blood boiled, it was only one person responsible for this. She couldn’t sleep for the rest of the night. Her mind raced, she cried hard, she paced the room, she knew exactly who did this. She couldn’t believe her sister was dead. She couldn’t wait until she seen Scar on the block tomorrow.

"What happened to my  sister!" Sasha shouted at Scar pushing him. In that moment 3 different guys had gone toward Sasha.

Nah she good yall. Scar said chuckling. Damn shorty you just gone come pushin me like that? Scar asked he couldn't wipe the smile off his face.

Yeah, bitch ass nigga my sister is dead!

Wait lil brina dead? He asked his smile dropped. He was only upset because she brought him the most money at the end of the night. Brina had been prostituting for him for two years and he had never had this happen. Look I swear imma find who did this and make'em pay. I didn't know, and I would never let nun happen to her on my watch. I promised yo pops that too.

Fuck you, she was 16 you shouldn't have had her out there in the first place. And fuck you mean you promised my pops some shit.. Sasha hissed

    Lil bitch I-

I ain't scared of you so you better watch how you talkin to me and you better watch it now.

My bad, your dad knew what she was doing. He got a cut of everything she made. He explained, and Sasha was shocked. Look let me talk to you I'll give you a ride hom-

Why so I can end up like my sister prostitutin and snortin crack? No talk to me now. Sasha demanded

Look I don't know what happened to yo sister but I can and will find some shit out for you. I ain't no lame ass nigga I wouldn't hurt yo sister Sasha I swear. Scar said and Sasha didn't know if she believed him. She was confused but she went with her instinct.

Bitch I don't believe you. She said, he was the reason she was running the streets in the first place and even if it wasn't his fault it was his fault. Sasha was gone make him pay.

Sasha! Scar shouted after her. Hold this nigga. He gave his phone and car keys to one of his homies before he jogged after her. He grabbed her arm and she yanked it out of his grip.

Don't put yo fuckin hands on me-

My bad shorty. He put his hands up in surrender. Let me prove to you I'm not a bad guy. You way too pretty to just have out on the streets, I want you to myself. I would never hurt you, Sasha. He said with a small smile, he couldn't shake how he felt about her. It was something about the way she always stood up to him. Unlike Sasha, Sabrina did everything he asked and Sasha was always spazzing on him any time he got near her. The two of them were so different.

I'm supposed to believe the nigga who was pimpin my fuckin sister out? Right. I'm 16 not stupid. Sasha waved him off pushing past him purposely bumping her shoulder into his.

I'm here if you need me, Sasha! Everybody needs somebody! He shouted after her. She ignored him, she didn't need nobody but herself.

Once she'd got home her father was sitting on the couch watching TV with West. Hey Sash wanna watch T-

West what I tell you about that bitch? His dad asked bitterly.

She not my sister, West responded looking down.

Don't acknowledge her, fuck out my face. He said waving Sasha off, Sasha rolled her eyes. She did just that getting out his face, once she got to her bedroom he was right behind her. Did you roll yo eyes at me?! He shouted at her and she didn't respond. She didn't care what he did at this point.

She was used to him beating her, she wasn't afraid of that anymore. Bruises went away, and so did the pain and she learned that the hard way. So when she didn't even flinch when he raised his hand that angered him. Bitch you think you tough? He yanked her up by her neck immediately choking. Yet she started laughing.

Kill me bitch. That was all she said and there was a new look in her eyes. The shy innocent girl he once knew wasn't there anymore. There was nothing in her eyes, she wasn't showing any emotion and that didn't sit well with him. He was going to break her, he slammed her down on the bed and as he climbed on top of her he wrapped his other hand around her throat squeezing as hard as he could.

Say you fuckin sorry. He gritted in her face.

K-Kill me bitch. That was all she choked out as his grip grew tighter and tighter. She wouldn't give in no matter how purple her face turned, she wasn't afraid to die anymore. She had nothing to live for, nobody cared about her so she was done caring about other people.

He let her neck go and she gasped, coughing for air. Punch after punch he let all his anger out on her. He didn't care where his hits landed as long as they landed on her. He didn't care about her broken nose or broken ribs, he didn't care about how badly she was bleeding. He got up off her yanking her off the bed by her hair slinging her across the room once she hit the wall she fell onto the floor. She chuckled as she laid there in pain.

She spits the blood from her mouth, she struggled to get up off the ground but she did it. At this point she had nobody but herself so she couldn't be the soft person she was yesterday, there was nobody to be strong for her anymore. So she had to do it herself, when she stood up she was dizzy, but she didn't look away from him not once. She looked at him with just as much hate he looked at her with. West stood in the doorway and his heart dropped when he seen how bloody Sasha was.

He looked at his dad and he wanted to do something, but he decided against it. Instead, he closed the door locking it from the outside that was the only way the door would lock. He locked them in there when he didn't want to feed them and he didn't want them to leave the house.

West did that often, he would look the other way when his dad was beating his younger sisters. Sasha stop testin me. He said the anger vivid in his tone.

I ain't did nothin, Sasha spoke calmly she kept this Wicked smirk on her face.

Just for that see how it feels to spend yo 17th birthday locked in this room. He said thinking that would hurt her. He knew beating her some more would kill her so he would leave her here to suffer. So when he used his key to unlock the door and leave out he locked it back behind him, leaving her there all alone.

She knew she wouldn't be able to get this blood off for days, she knew she wouldn't be able to tend to her wounds for days but she wouldn't let him continue to break her. She had to figure something out and fast.

For the next 3 days she’d just thought. She sat in her thoughts, she read her dad’s old college text books, his Psychology textbook intrigued her. There was a lot she didn’t know about the human mind. She spent her days reading all of his old college material, she knew he had attended college she just hadn’t known what for. She didn’t have a phone and the books kept her distracted from the fact that she was hungry. She drank the bottled waters Sabrina had stashed under the bed, she died before she could reup their snacks.

    Chapter 2

    Houston, TX:

Sasha sat up when she heard the lock, unlock. She heard her dad’s footsteps go back toward his bedroom. Sasha got up careful not to show pain, it would only satisfy him. She grabbed some jogging pants and a hoodie and exited the room. She still couldn’t wrap her mind around the fact that he went from loving her to hating her. She had never done anything but love him. It hurt her heart, but today was the last day she allowed herself to feel anything.

She showered, and tended to her wounds. Once she was dressed she headed downstairs, the first thing she did was grab the mail off the top of the refrigerator that’s where her dad kept all the mail he hadn’t opened from the day before. On top she seen an envelope with her name on it from her longtime best friend. She ripped it open and unfolded the paper.

    Dear Sasha,

I been writing you since day 1, I know how things got with your parents. I just wish I could talk to you, my head is so fucked up. I’ve seen things a person my age not supposed to see. Did things I never saw myself doing the only thing that seems close to familiar. Is writing you. Me knowing that you are still there, me knowing that I need to make my way back to you has kept me sane this entire time. War after war after war, mission after mission things get crazy Sasha. They literally trained me to be an assassin, all I know is death. I hope you still love me even though I may not be the person I was when I left. I should be home by your 18th birthday, I heard about Sabrina as well as your mom. I’m sorry I left when things got bad, my parents shipped me off to the military the moment I was old enough to go. It was already bad that they
