I wrote a poetry book based around miscarriages to give a voice to those who have experienced the pain of miscarriage. This book is intended to support those who have experienced loss, to provide space for others to understand and empathize, and to create a safe place for conversation about a difficult topic. The poems in the book come from personal experience, research, and stories I have heard from those impacted by miscarriage. Writing this book has allowed me to bear witness to these stories of heartbreak and hope, and to ensure that those who have experienced the pain of miscarriage will never feel alone.

A man and woman struggling, To move past a loss so troubling, Have both been set adrift, Without a sign of a lift.
For the woman, a stoic veneer, To mask her inner fear, The man, with a heart of stone, Tries not to break or moan.
The fog of what could've been, Casts a cloud from within, On a night not one seeking peace, From the pain neither shall cease. A room of sadness and gloom, It's hard to bloom, But yet though there is a void, The future remains to be enjoyed.
We walked a path of pain and sorrow, Filled with grief and loss.
We wept beyond a silent tomorrow, In a love so tender and raw. Weave the memories of a righteous journey, Thoughts of hearts too soft to sustain.
Still saddled with the somber story, Of the love that could not remain. Memories of hope and fear, Seep through our veins and bind us here.
Thoughts of joy and moments so dear, Now lost in a frozen tear. The shadows envelope our spirits cold, Catastrophe too heavy to behold. Light dissipates from so far away, When hope slowly fades away.
Spoken in broken tongues of love, Emotion and passion a tangled mess. We must find the strength to rise above, As we learn to forget about the rest.
We still move forward in the ways of our own, Though it takes time to ascend. We
