Paul Springsteen

Paul Springsteen is someone that grew up in a medium sized town in Texas located in the united states. He went into the military upon graduating high school.  Though it didn't last long he did get an honorable discharge because of medical reasons. After this he went to the local college of his home town.  There he got a master's degree in physics. Due to illness he had a hard time in the job market before he discovered the joys of writing and wishes to spend his time writing stories for the forseeable future.  This came about from a strange origin.  From D&D of all places.  He kept feeling like he was getting shafted from playing stories.  So he pushed himself to write his own stories and enjoyed it. His stance on writing though is that he doesn't write to whatever is the it thing in the market.  Instead he has a particular way the story is supposed to go in his head and follows that.  So the reader should be aware that even killing the protagonist and having the bad guy win is a possible way things could happen in the story in the future.

    Story 1 Chapter 1

About 11 months have passed since the Crimson Flock had dealt with the vampire.  They had months now.  Whoever it was that was in charge finally figured out how days progressed here in Bangseong.  There were 12 months.  However, the months had oscillated 47 and 48 days, with month 12 having 49 days.  The months didn't have names yet to Kyung Joon's knowledge.  That would put the time at around year 3, month 2.  The days were 32 hours long of 16 hours of day and 16 hours of night.  A year was 571 days long.

Still, it has been a while.  Kyung Joon was thinking for a time about the fact this was a new world.  They could never return to the old one.  The old world would have the piece missing of where Bangseong was.  Maybe all of the different cities and countries were torn apart.  He looked in the mirror of his apartment bathroom.  He had a bigger mirror, but he wanted to look at his face.  Still no facial hair.  Or rather, it was really short and thin already.  Still, there was some.  Maybe he would need to shave it.

He spent a while shaving the low to almost lack of facial hair on his face.  But afterward, it was smoother.  They didn't really have shaving creme.  But he was able to do something that he had heard about.  He used a brush to try to turn the soap into lather.  Though he wasn't sure if he did his job correctly.  Still, he managed to shave off the little bits of hair on his face.  It was smoother than it was before as he rinsed it off.

He was in a kind of pajamas at the moment.  It was an old style of pajamas, which was something of his fashion sense.  They had gone through a number missions.  Though none of them were as dangerous as the previous one of the vampire since the vampire.  Recently though he underwent something of another change to his body.  He noticed that he was heartier that he was previously.  However, that wasn't all.

The orb inside of him Pi Phi Rho 6 told him that it gave him a new ability.  Though he wasn't sure if he should use it outside of combat.  The spell was something called spear of nothing.  He still remembered when he tested it out.  There was an old children's play set.  Why did he decide to test his ability on something like that?  There weren't any children playing on it thank goodness.

The spell didn't look like it did anything.  He couldn't see anything come out of him.  But the play set seemed to partially disintegrate into nothing.  There was some of it still there.  But just fragments of it just seemed to flake off and disintegrate into the air.  It was harrowing.  Something about the spell freaked him out.  He needed to be sure to test out his new spells on something that wouldn't ruin the lives of people around him.  That children's play set was now ruined, with about half of it gone into nothing.

Kyung Joon made sure to get out of there.  Thankfully no one harassed him or approached him after he tested it.  He could see, every once in a while a child just staring at the now broken play set.  It was a dumb decision.  He would need to make sure that he could find some kind of make of play sets to make a new one for the children.  That would be one less hanbok for what the church paid him.  But it would be worth it.  He would uproot the old, broken playset and replace it with a new one.

Still, it was hard to find out where he could find such a maker.  In this city of Bangseong, there wasn't really an internet that he knew of.  People were trying to recover what was lost previously, but they were having a slow go of it.  The population of Bangseong was still growing.  People were still trying to make it work.  There had to be a maker of children's play sets here in this city.  He kept asking around, but no one knew of any.

He needed to snap out of it.  He heard a knock on the door of his apartment.  He was still in pajamas.  The old white style of pajamas.  The door was from a member of the church of ever loving christ.  He was a man with a white shirt and some slacks.

You need to report to the cathedral.  Matthew Kim has need of you.  The man in the white shirt and slacks said.

Yes, I understand.  Have you eaten today?  Kyung Joon said to the man with the white shirt.

No, but I have others that I have to alert to go to Matthew Kim.  The man in the white shirt said.

Alright, I will be there after I grab something to eat.  Kyung Joon said.

Please hurry.  The man in the white shirt said.

Will do.  Kyung Joon said and closed the door.

Kyung Joon looked at this apartment and to the rack that housed his series of hanbok.  He would need to get a second one before too long.

MoonSe out did himself with this one.  People think sometimes that fashion is all about a loud garish statement.  However, there was a lot to be said about a subtle, design that was nice and intricately placed over the hanbok.  That was this one.  It was made with some manner of nice thick material.  The coat of the Hanbok came down about halfway between his knees and waist.  It was black.  Kyung Joon didn't know where Moon Se was able to get a hold of these materials.  The material was just like they would make the suits of the old world with.  The traditional european suit that seemed to take the world by storm.  There was, with a stitch of an outline, the image of a rooster made with gold outline thread on the back, bottom, right of his coat.

Still, though some of his hanbok were torn and ripped unfortunately from his job.  The one from the vampire job had holes from it when he was injured.  But Moon Se was able to repair it.  Though the repair job wasn't perfect.  It didn't look as good as it did before.

Kyung Joon put on the black hanbok with the rooster design on himself.  He was going to get something to eat before he headed out to the cathedral.  What he had in mind was some fruit and creme.  He knew of just the place.

    Story 1 Chapter 2

Min Hee awoke.  Bars.  She looked at the bars surrounding her.  She was in something of a prison cell.  After she got back from killing the vampire she had been here.  In the jail cell.  They all knew that she did it.  They all knew that she killed that neighbor of hers that was beating that woman.  The man did deserve it.  A man that used his strength to beat a woman.  Trash.  Utter Trash that should die, Min Hee thought to herself.

There were no other prisoners around her.  This was something of a new prison complex.  They made an expansion within the past 11 months that she had been here.  Rotting in a prison cell.  She could break out.  The voices that came every once in a while said as much.  They wouldn't be able to contain her.  She grew stronger since she had been in here.

She continued to practice in this prison cell.  They let her keep her spear though there wasn't that much room to use it.  She had her armor on her.  The cops around her kind of knew that she could leave if she wanted.  However, there wasn't that much else to do.  She might as well not kill cops that were trying to deal with monsters like the one she killed.

She had been on few missions in 11 months.  The rest of the crimson flock did their missions without her typically.  Though for the more dangerous ones, she was called into action.  She dispensed with the monsters they pitted her against.  Though it was always inhuman monsters.  She learned how to use a new technique called a feinting strike to get another chance to strike the enemy.  Any normal person could attempt to do it, but what she learned was mastery.  She stood in her prison cell and practiced the maneuver over and over again.

Min Hee heard a knock on the prison cell as she took her spear and made thrust into the air.  She looked over and saw that it was captain Ki Woo one of her few friends in the police force.

Are you always on?  You are still practicing your strikes even now in a prison cell.  Captain Ki Woo said.

What do you want Ki Woo?  Min Hee said striking the air.  She had her particular harsh tone.

Is that any way to greet your friend Ki Woo?  I just came by to talk with you.  Captain Ki Woo said.

I'm not going to stop killing monsters.  Min Hee said.

That is the problem right there.  It is innocent until proven guilty.  You can't just keep acting as executioner.  The police force used to cover up when you killed some people before.  It used to be the worst of the worst that seemed like there were going to get away with things.  However, lately, it seems like you want to kill even petty criminals.  Captain Ki Woo said.

Is that it?  You want me to practice moderation?  Min hee said striking the air with her spear.  She was barely focused on him.

Look, the rest of the people on the force covered for you because even though you are a bitch we like you.  Some of us thought of doing what you do for certain criminals.  Captain Ki Woo said looking up in the air then focused back on Min Hee.  But we can't.  You have to let the legal system do its work.

    No.  Min Hee said.

What?  Just no?  Captain Ki Woo said.

The law doesn't sufficiently put people behind bars.  Besides, I had to kill him.  He resisted arrest.  Min Hee said.

Well, you are going to be let out soon.  These 11 months are actually like 2 years back in the other earth.  You remember the old world.  Such a different time.  Back before you had super powers.  Captain Ki Woo said.

Less people died then.  It was better.  Min Hee said.

See, that is what I am talking about.  Your heart is in the right place.  Just promise me you will go easy on the killing people from now on.  Captain Ki Woo said.

No.  Min Hee said striking the air.

Come on.  We are really trying to work with you here.  The church is behind you too.  That is why you got such a low amount of time.  You need to focus on killing the monster monsters, right?  Just picture it that killing the human monsters gets in the way of killing the monster monsters that are worse.  Captain Ki Woo said.

Then Emerred said.  This is understandable.  Show no mercy to the monsters that plague mankind.

What the hell do you care about mankind Emerred.  Min Hee said.  Then she just heard a light laughter around her.

Who is Emerred?  Captain Ki Woo said.

That isn't important for you.  I will try to do as you say and kill mostly monster monsters.  Min Hee said.

Ha there you go.  You know if you weren't so murder happy, you would make an excellent wife.  Captain Ki Woo said.

Shut up.  Min Hee said striking the air some more, paying little attention to him.

Well, that is just it.  You apparently have another mission.  You ARE actually being let out.  The Church of the Ever Loving Christ put pressure on the powers that be in government.  You don't have any more time to serve.  It was nice seeing you again Min Hee.  Come back to visit under better circumstances.  Captain Ki Woo said and opened her jail cell.

Min Hee walked out and put a hand on the shoulder of Captain Ki Woo who was more than half a foot taller than her.  Thanks for the delightful stay.  Min Hee said and walked out and to the church of the Ever Loving Christ.

After she was out a distance, she could hear behind her.  Stay out of trouble.

    Story 1 Chapter 3

Da Yong woke up to his apartment.  It was the typical beat down apartment.  His apartment was in the Kaetae district.  It wasn't that decked out.  It was a small apartment with some broken furniture.  The furniture was broken when he was pissed off.  Da Yong looked around him and decided to leave that shit show for something better.

He opened his apartment door to look into the hallway that had the other apartments waiting for him.  He knew
