Paul Springsteen

Paul Springsteen is someone that grew up in a medium sized town in Texas located in the united states. He went into the military upon graduating high school.  Though it didn't last long he did get an honorable discharge because of medical reasons. After this he went to the local college of his home town.  There he got a master's degree in physics. Due to illness he had a hard time in the job market before he discovered the joys of writing and wishes to spend his time writing stories for the forseeable future.  This came about from a strange origin.  From D&D of all places.  He kept feeling like he was getting shafted from playing stories.  So he pushed himself to write his own stories and enjoyed it. His stance on writing though is that he doesn't write to whatever is the it thing in the market.  Instead he has a particular way the story is supposed to go in his head and follows that.  So the reader should be aware that even killing the protagonist and having the bad guy win is a possible way things could happen in the story in the future.

    Chapter 1

Kyung Joon awoke from his bed.  Some time had passed since they faced against whatever monstrosity at the wells.  The crimson flock had done some missions in that time.  It had probably been about 90 days or so.  The temperature in Bangseong was slightly changing but not that much.  It did change temperature in the seasons.  Though no one was quite sure how things worked just yet.  Though it did seem to follow seasons, they were just kind of unpredictable right now.

He looked to see if he could wear his favorite types of hanbok.  He had a stand out rack of hanging Hanbok.  Though he didn't know which one that he would choose.  Would it be perhaps a blue one?  Or maybe the one with the interwoven design of a bear?  As time passed the innovative peoples of Bangseong were getting their hands on materials, and trade was emerging once more.  Though it was kind of sparse.  He decided.  He would choose the hanbok that was white with a stitched design of a fish on it.  The hanbok was a little bit dirty.

The rest of choosing his clothes was a little bit less time consuming.  Power worked in Bangseong thanks to a power plant that came along with them to this new world.  So he was able to wash his clothes.  Though the new soaps were as good as the previous detergents.  Still it was better than nothing.

He was hungry.  He looked in his fridge to try to see if he would eat anything out of there.  He needed to do some shopping.  It was mostly empty.  But he would eat out.  He had the money.  The church of ever loving christ paid pretty well.  It should if they were putting their lives at risk to hunt monsters.

He walked over to a restaurant that was something that survived the 1st crisis.  Though the menu had to change, the people working there still were.  Things had to be a little bit simpler according to what materials and foods that were available.  Natural gas wasn't there anymore.  So now they needed wood stoves and a limited supply of other materials which could be burned.

There were some people dining in the restaurant.  About 6 of them.  The restaurant was probably big enough to house 50 people.  Though after the 1st crisis even though the restaurant survived business was tough.  He was greeted by someone that worked there.  There was a waiter and a cook that worked at this location.  Wait times were a little bit long.  But it was worth it for the experience.  The waiter walked up and moved him to a table.

They had a menu.  But the menu didn't look that good.  They had the plastic cover that was typical of a menu from a restaurant and was weighed down by some metal tabs.  The paper inside, however, was paper with handwritten menu items.

He looked through the list.  He wanted some good old bibimbap.  The waiter informed him that they no longer had pork for the time being.  The other table over ordered the last bit of it.

That's fine I will have beef.  Kyung Joon said.  With noodles please.

There was a good deal of waiting that needed to be done.  With a restaurant like this, they couldn't just keep a pot of water boiling at all times.  The noodles would have taken longer than the rice that they would just have ready.  It was so lucky that rice could be grown around here.  It was grown around the farms of Mija and lake Mija.  There were troubles associated with goblins in the area.  There were always people from the church in that area to try to protect the farmers from goblins.

Lunch came for Kyung Joon.  They had an egg and everything.  He picked up some noodles with some chopsticks and slurped some of them down.  He took a piece of egg and some greens that were on the side of the dish.  The meat was something that was a little bit old, but in an environment like this beggars can't be choosers.  What were these greens?  Spinach?  No, it didn't look like spinach.  There was even some hot pepper paste on the side of the dish.  He spread that through the dish for some hot noodles.

Overall it was very tasty.  The people at a table over looked at him, and he just raised up a glass in a salute to them.  Life wasn't back to how it was pre crisis but it was getting better.  Just as long as the kill teams and scouts of the church kept doing their jobs.  It almost made him a little bit teary eyed seeing how well everything managed to work.  People were just living their lives.

That stressed the importance to him of his job.  If monsters like the monster of the well were just allowed to run rampant the people here wouldn't be allowed to have their safe lives.  Well, they still weren't that safe, but they were better off than they could be.

Kyung Joon walked back to his apartment.  He could hear the orb that was inside of him start talking.  That was delicious.  I love to experience things through your senses.

I thought it was good too.  Are you able to tell me anything?  Kyung Joon asked Pi Phi Rho.

This is a good experience.  I like all moments, but you don't.  You don't like feeling pain.  Pi Phi Rho, the emergent crystalis, said to Kyung Joon.

I think that very few people like feeling pain.  Kyung Joon said.

Do you ever wonder what it would be like?  If our places were reversed?  The orb said to him.

No, I don't wonder.  Aren't you a super powerful entity.  I have no idea what you experience.  Kyung Joon said.

I wonder if I really feel everything that you do.  I upgraded your body.  You should be able to withstand more damage.  I really want to make this partnership last.  Pi Phi Rho said.

He continued walking and was in front of his apartment.  There was a man in a white shirt and slacks that was waiting for him.  He recognized him as someone that worked for the church.

Excuse me.  Kyung Joon.  Matthew Kim wants you back in the church of the ever loving christ.  The man in the white shirt said.

I will be there right away.  Unlike the others, I don't really have gear that I use.  Kyung Joon said.

He departed toward the church on foot.  It was a good day.  But he spent too much time relaxing.  He would probably need to hunt some monsters.

    Chapter 2

Dae Hwan sat up from his bed.  In his rather large house.  The house was bigger than what the others in the crimson flock had.  There had been people by saying that, in time, they would begin to collect taxes again.  Though he wasn't sure what that was about.  If they were criminals then he wouldn't pay, but if it was a real government then he would.

He wore a white t shirt that he slept with.  In the various mirrors around the house, he could see the muscles that seemed more pronounced now than before the first crisis.  He had on some shorts that were something like gym shorts that were easy to wear and wear armor over.

The delivery came again and delivered a new suit of armor and weapon for him.  Dong Tech was beginning to allow more custom orders.  It was about 90 days since they fought the well monster.  Whatever that thing was at least it was gone, and the people of Bangseong safer than they were.  He thought of all the people that he met every
