Signing Off With Love
Can one impulsive comment on an article online lead to lasting love? Paisley Colburn has always loved animals more than people. So when she finds out that the animal shelter that she works at lost out on expanding because they were outbid on the land by some giant corporation, she reacts impulsively and vents in the comment section of the website. One message. That's all it takes to have Levi hooked. When their relationship moves off the computer screen to real life, will Levi be able to convince Paisley that he's still the man she fell for online?

Care Package Love
Lily James has always been a bit of a loner. Her mom and stepdad don't get her and the kids at school either make fun of her or ignore her. She doesn't have much in common with kids her own age, probably because she doesn't feel her age. She likes stuffed animals, coloring books and bows and she doesn't care if that makes her a weirdo. With only a few months left before she graduates from high school, she has no clue what to do with her life next. Then she writes to a soldier overseas and suddenly, her future seems clear. She needs to be his.

Wrong Number, Right Love
Is it better to be loved or respected? That's the message that Hayes Bancroft gets one night. He's used to getting random texts, but right away he can tell that this one is different. Maeve Verbeck is a glassblower by trade. She's more of a homebody than a party animal and she spends her free time sending random texts to strangers. Usually, the conversations only last for a couple of messages, so she's surprised when she texts someone, and it continues past the night. When these two finally meet, will they be able to survive the heat or will they break like glass?

    Chapter One

    Paisley

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:09 PM CST): What do you have against Radcliffe Logistics?

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:09 PM CST): Excuse me?

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:10 PM CST): Your comment on the article about the new

locations. You said, and I quote, Radcliffe is nothing but a greedy corporation, run by stuffy jerks who only like to throw their money around. #SupportLocal

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:10 PM CST): And I stand by that.

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:11 PM CST): Why do you think that?

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:12 PM CST): Big corporations like Radcliffe Logistics are

trash. They swoop in and snap up land, building these horrible warehouses and buildings.

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:13 PM CST): Why do you say they swoop in?

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:14 PM CST): That’s exactly what they did in my town and a bunch of other towns all over the US. Did you not read the article? They’re opening twenty new locations all over the country. The local animal shelter in my town was going to buy that land and build a new stable and dog run there. We could have built around the existing nature so that other animals wouldn’t be disrupted. Instead, we’ll be looking at ANOTHER ugly building.

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:15 PM CST): Do you work at the animal shelter?

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:15 PM CST): Yes, but that still doesn’t mean that Radcliffe

Logistics should get the land. What do you do, Logical Levi?

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:16 PM CST): I drive a truck. Don’t you think that having Radcliffe in your town will be good? For the economy and stuff? I mean it will bring in new jobs.

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:17 PM CST): Sure, they can move into town and create jobs and that’s great but they could have chosen a different spot. Radcliffe has infinite resources. They could have chosen an existing building and remodeled it or torn it down and started from scratch. Then the land could have gone to help animals and protect nature but they just wanted to save money and build something brand new. Now, there will be even less land for the wild animals and it will disrupt nature and force animals out.

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:19 PM CST): You’re right. They could have done that.

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:19 PM CST): They SHOULD have done that.

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:20 PM CST): What’s your name?

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:20 PM CST): Tell some stranger on the internet personal details

about myself? Yeah, I don’t think so.

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:21 PM CST): Passionate and smart too? Damn, I think I might love you.

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:21 PM CST): Ha! I’ve got to go to work now. Have a good day, Levi.

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:22 PM CST): Same time tomorrow, Lover?

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:22 PM CST): Don’t call me that. And for what?

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:22 PM CST): Then tell me your real name. I like talking to you. Didn’t you have fun talking to me?

AnimalLvr (March 15, 2020 3:23 PM CST): Not a chance.

LogicalLevi (March 15, 2020 3:23 PM CST): Tomorrow, Lover. Same time, same place.

I stare at my computer screen for a few minutes after I’ve signed off, wondering why it feels like I have butterflies in my stomach from just a few messages. My heart feels like it’s racing and I bite my bottom lip, trying to stop the grin that’s been splitting my face for the last couple of minutes.

I check the time and realize that if I don’t hurry, I’ll be late for work so I close my laptop and pull on my shoes, racing for the door. I can’t help but look back to my computer one last time though and I have a feeling that I’ll be logging back onto the chatroom tomorrow too.

    Chapter Two

    Levi

I refresh my computer screen for the millionth time in the past five minutes. It’s about the same time as yesterday and I was hoping, praying, that my AnimalLvr would already be logged in and waiting for me. I’ve been signed in since I woke up this morning, not wanting to miss her if she logged on early.

I’ve been dying to talk to her since, well since she logged off yesterday. I don’t know what it is about her but I’ve been intrigued ever since I saw her comment on the article about my company buying land to open new warehouses around the US. Seeing her passion and how smart she is only drew me in further.

I hit refresh again, sending up a silent prayer that this time it will show her as active. By some miracle, my prayers are actually answered and AnimalLvr’s name is in green. I click on it quickly, grinning as I start to type.

LogicalLevi (March 16, 2020 2:56 PM EST): Hey, Lover.

AnimalLvr (March 16, 2020 2:56 PM EST): Hi, Levi.

LogicalLevi (March 16, 2020 2:56 PM EST): How was work?

AnimalLvr (March 16, 2020 2:57PM EST): It was fine. Long.

LogicalLevi (March 16, 2020 2:57 PM EST): I’m surprised that you had to work so late at the animal shelter.

AnimalLvr (March 16, 2020 2:58 PM EST): No, I work at the shelter during the day and I’m a bartender at night. That’s where I was going last night.

LogicalLevi (March 16, 2020 2:58 PM EST): You shouldn’t work so much. You need to leave some time for fun.

AnimalLvr (March 16, 2020 2:59 PM EST): Have to pay the bills and bartending a couple of times a week helps to make ends meet. The animal shelter doesn’t pay that well.

I frown at seeing that she works so much. I’m about to type out a response when my assistant buzzes in.

Mr. Radcliffe? Your three pm conference call is on line one.

I look at the clock. I probably don’t have that much time with my AnimalLvr girl and I’ve been dying to talk to her all day. I reach over, hitting the intercom button.

    Cancel it, please.

    Yes, sir.

I sit back in my chair, going back to my message girl.

AnimalLvr (March 16, 2020 3:00 PM EST): How was your day?

LogicalLevi (March 16, 2020 3:00 PM EST): Long without you.

AnimalLvr (March 16, 2020 3:00 PM EST): Flirt.

LogicalLevi (March 16, 2020 3:01 PM EST): I’m trying, Lover.
