About this ebook

Rookie Year has three short stories that consist of comedy, drama, and thriller. These are stories from Dondy's first year of creative writing hence the title of the ebook. The first story of this ebook "Bumblebee" is a real-life experience that Dondy has faced when working at a job. He says yes to the job duties that no one else wants to do and then when a new employee Richard rolls around and thinks he's better than him. Everything escalates once a recent employee Brandon quits and he has to work with Richard for the night. The next two stories "Bomb" and "Devil Inside" has the same setting and characters but different plots. He had to work on an assignment for school where he had to write a story by just looking at a photo of two people sitting in the backyard of a patio. This photo also shows the inside of the room which has two twin beds. He wrote the story "Devil Inside" first about a runway criminal Walker who was on the verge of being murdered. He took his wife Tammy along with him but little does he know she has been working with the FBI to get him arrested. Tammy now has to stay alive before Walker becomes suspicious. Dondy wrote "Bomb" because he wanted to get a second shot. He decided to go through with Walker dealing with mental illness and Tammy has to take care of him.

    Bumblebee

Brandon quit today for the 4th time this week. Out of all the times he quit, we all believed he was serious this time. Brandon snatched his greasy apron off, crumbled it into a ball, and slammed it to the ground as if he was trying to hurt it. When the apron hit the ground, a bunch of flour from the apron flew into the air making it foggy and just like that Brandon disappeared like a magician. James, our supervisor comes out of his office and storms through the fog out the front door to go searching for Brandon like a lost puppy. James comes back into the store empty-handed.
