Life is like a highway; we are heading in one direction but with different motives. We get off at different exits and meet up at a junction. Whichever way we take, it is bound to take us to our desired destination. Therefore, choosing our motives is crucial before we are far on this highway. On this highway, there are long lanes with dividing lines; For us to stay in the right lane without commotion. Any shift into another lane requires vigilance, acceleration, and consistency. Like life, the highway seems endless yet tricky to leave. The gears increase at the entrance and decrease at the exit. We are ready to get off the highway by coming closer to the sideline. We might think, "Why is the highway high?’ Perhaps it is not just high, it is a faster way to get to places. Many times, we get petty and vindictive with each other, forgetting the highway. This constantly distracts us from our desired journey and causes delays to our destination. There is a way out of this RAT RACE of chasing each other’s tails and focusing on our own journey. We could use all the time we have to build our plans.

A series of hustling leads us around the rat-race, one with detours and roadblocks at times. The circulation keeps us in a loop of doubt and dissatisfaction. We have lived this way so long that we do not know how to break the cycle. It has been embedded in our belief system that stopping it seems like a betrayal, and it does not matter how aggressive we tussle this atrocity of life. It is all around us. However, we also have the power to end it. It is in the will-the only way we can overcome is by being willing to get out of it. This power in our own spirit does create a portal to exit the rat-race, since nobody is chasing us, except our expectations and imaginations. Perhaps delaying in the rat-race can put us at an advantage that surpasses the norm. Would a plan work? Or just a swing of things? Either way the idea is to outsmart the cycle, which keeps us stuck on the run, one step in the right direction can push us towards greater efficacy.

Sometimes the rat-race is not a punishment, it a series of developmental skillset. We ought to grow as human beings, both physically, socially, and financially. Whatever we cannot find in short sight, appears clearly in the long run. It takes time to acquire skill and precision which are major components for progress, and success. Sometimes walking in circles is preparing us for a blessing like no other. There is a gift in patience.

There is more to life than just rotating in cycles. Or so I believe. We are all subjected to an alliance of obligations ranging from house chores all the way to Entrepreneurial callings.

When we discover our own talents, there is a reality that hits our nerves, and brings about certainty. It awakens our minds to the idea of possibility. That hope hangs around us to propel us into our own destiny. As it says in the Bible, ‘For God so Loved the World," hence we grow into super humans. As responsible citizens and mighty fighters.

The idea of gratification comes out of the need to satisfy human nature, and yet the nature of God
