Good Kids
The poor and the rich
A long time ago, once our Lord God was still walking the Earth among mortals, one night he felt tired and was surprised by darkness before finding a lodging for the night.
Here, he found 2 houses facing each other on his way, the first one is huge and precious, and the second one is small and miserable in appearance.
The first belonged to a rich man, and the second to a poor man. Our teacher thought: I will not be a burden to the rich; From then on, I will spend the night at his house.
As soon as the man heard a knock at the door, he opened the window and asked the stranger what he needed.
Our teacher replied:
I'd like you to take me in for one night.
The rich man looked at the stranger from head to foot, and seeing that he was rather plainly dressed and did not look like a rich man, shaking his head, he remarked:
"I cannot accommodate you; each of my rooms is still full of plants and seeds; and if I were to accommodate all who knock at my door, I would have to quickly grab a stick myself and go begging. You will have to find accommodation elsewhere.
And, closing the window, he gave the seed to Our Lord, who, turning his back on the house, went to the miserable front.
As soon as he knocked, the poor owner opened the door and invited a passerby to come in:
Stay here tonight,
he told
