Once upon a time there was a queen to whom the Lord our God denied the grace of having children. Every morning she went to the garden to ask heaven to give her the grace of her motherhood.
One day an angel came down from heaven and said:
—Rejoice, because you will have a son endowed with the gift of seeing his wishes fulfilled, because he will see all those he feels on this planet satisfied.
The Queen went to give the good news to her husband and, when the time came, she gave birth to a son, to the great joy of the King.
Every morning the Queen went to the garden with her baby and bathed there in a clear fountain.
It happened one day, when the baby was already big, and when she placed it on her lap, the mother fell asleep. Then the old cook approached, who knew of the little boy's special gift, and kidnapped him; then he sacrificed a chicken and spilled its blood on the Queen's apron and dress.
After taking the baby to a secluded place, where a wet nurse was delegated to nurse him, she confronted the King accusing her mistress of allowing a wild animal to steal the child, for which the King saw the blood staining the Apron he had given her.
He believed in the denunciation, and such anger entered him that he built an intense dungeon where neither the light
