CHRISTMAS IN THE ANDES
Marcabal Grande, my family's farm, is located in one of the last foothills of the Andes, on the banks of the Marañón River. It consists of hills and deep valleys. The cold heights are turned blue by the bare rocks.
Favorable slopes and plains are dotted with crops, where there are people who dedicate themselves to agriculture, since everything else is wild solitude. The valleys smell of coffee, cocoa and other tropical crops, in some places, because then the wild jungle triumphs.
The farmhouse, an old construction with limestone walls and red tiles, sits on a hillside between eucalyptus trees and stone walls, reflecting moats, orchards, orchards, fields and pastures.
