    Introduction

The Christian life is simple and complex simultaneously. Its simplicity rests upon one truth: Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that faith in Him results in man’s salvation. However, to live a fruitful Christian life comes from navigating through the complexities of life. The Abundant Truth Inspirational Series was developed to aid the Christian in handling the difficulties that come with the Christian experience.

    In this publication:

Religion has brought definition to man’s existence throughout the ages. Regardless of its belief system, almost every religion draws its inspiration from a belief in a supernatural force. Today’s major religions, namely Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (Muslims), claim that God is the inspiration and source of their belief systems. However, this poses a major problem.

Though God is a supernatural being, He is more than a force. They substitute a personal relationship with God through Christ through their religious practice and understanding of scriptures, while teaching others to do the same. They try to serve God only through their knowledge and the quoting of scriptures and principles. However, when situations do not work according to these principles, they become discouraged. They do not understand that God has a will.

Others believe that God’s personality is like man’s and He has no requirements that man has to adhere to. This is because He is loving and caring. He understands when we fail and fall. We only have to acknowledge His presence. This extreme is unbalanced. God does have standards that we must live by when
