Hi, my name is Joel.

My parents took my name out of the Bible (it means the Lord is God), and it’s kind of funny because later in life, I’m so interested in the end-times, which is what the book of Joel in the Bible is all about.

My interest started in 1997 because I was sick and tired of what man had to say about prophesy in the Bible, such as there were three different times that the Rapture was interpreted to happen. I knew that could not be true; the Bible only tells you that the Rapture is happening at one period in time, not three different times.

God gave me the drive to study the end-times. There was no way that I could understand it on my own. Every time I started to study the Bible, I prayed to God saying, I want to know the truth. Please. Just show me the truth. I want to know what the Bible says, not what I hear from men.

So I read the Bible cover to cover with an open mind, and by doing so, I found out that a lot of the stories happened in threes. It’s like God knew we had to hear the same thing three times before we could get it and retain it. Each of the three stories would have a little more information, and in order to see the whole picture, you need to put them together.

God knew I needed help to share what I had learned, so He placed the right people in my life to make this all come together. The first was Glen, who helped me gather the verses in the scrolls included with this book. What a big help he was! We had to cut all the verses from a King James Bible and copy them onto thicker paper because the Bible pages are so thin. Next, I taped all the verses to a big three-by-eight-foot piece of paper and took it to an office supply store. They sent me back home to glue all the edges of those verses down better so that when they ran it through the copy machine, it wouldn’t tear any of the verses off. That was a big job!

When my daughter, Echo, saw me making these scrolls, she laughed at me because I was doing it the old hard way because I don’t use computers. She thought it was pretty funny. Finally, my friend Scott helped redo the scrolls on a computer, first in the King James Version, and then again in the New International Version, while I, Echo, and Nikki worked on this book.

I recommend reading your Bible along with this book and scrolls. There are verses before and after the ones listed in the scrolls that will give more of a clearer picture. I would have liked to put in more verses, but the scrolls would’ve been too big. Some of the same verses will be in different categories because they fit more than one category. I wish I had scrolls like this for myself when I was learning; it would’ve made it a lot easier. I tried to keep this book as simple and easy to understand as possible. I hope you agree and enjoy learning about what God really says is coming.

Let’s take a look at the big scroll. This is an overview of what is to come and the verses that support it. Keep in mind, this is a quick run through that may seem overwhelming and confusing. We will go into detail on each of these events as you read this book along with the scroll.

The first thing that’s coming is a One World Order where the world is divided into ten chunks by the United Nations (UN). This will happen before the peace treaty (we will discuss this in detail later).

After this happens, the Antichrist will rise in power and help get the seven-year peace treaty signed. This is when the Jews will build the third temple. The third temple is quite important in the Jewish heritage. During the reign of King Solomon, the first temple was built for the Lord. This was also where the ark of the covenant was kept. Unfortunately, the temple was destroyed approximately 400–500 years later during a siege on Jerusalem by Babylon. The second temple was later built after the Jewish nation returned from captivity in Babylon and then refurbished by Herod the Great. However, it was also destroyed in AD 70 by the Romans in retaliation for the Jewish people revolting.

Matthew 24:2 Do you see all these things? he asked. I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.

Looking back at the scroll, in the middle of the seven years, the Antichrist will break the peace treaty with a war to take control of three chunks of the world that have the most oil resources. He will move into the third temple, stop the animal sacrifices, and make everybody worship him.

Then the False Prophet will be with the Antichrist, and he will fool a lot of people by bringing fire down from heaven. The False Prophet will also be the one to make people take the mark of the Beast, also called the 666 mark. This will be placed either on the right hand or forehead. During this time, the Antichrist and the False Prophet are killing the Gentile Christians and the Jewish Christians. This time is also referred to as Jacob’s Trouble.

Between the peace treaty and the war of Armageddon, the seals, trumpets, and bowls are happening. At the seventh seal, trumpet, and bowl is the Rapture.

Then the war of Armageddon happens. Jesus comes down, stops the war, locks the devil in a pit, puts the Antichrist and the False Prophet in the lake of fire and lives down here on the earth with us for one thousand years to reign. After the one-thousand-year reign, the devil is let loose, and he gets the people of the earth to war against Israel again. The Lord brings down fire from heaven and burns them all. The devil is thrown into the lake of fire where the Antichrist and the False Prophet were thrown into at the war of Armageddon. After this is the great white throne judgment where the good are separated from the bad, and the bad are put into the lake of fire. Then God brings a new heaven onto a new earth with no more seas. The old earth fled away, and no place was found for it (Revelation 21:1). This is where we will live with Jesus and God forever.
