Beyond What You Can See

About this ebook
One thing sure about life is that at some point, we are all in a storm, getting ready to go through a storm, coming out of a storm, and possibly reentering a storm again. Truth is, life is life, and no matter what life brings each of us, how we choose to navigate through life is dependent upon the lenses we wear.
Most time, many people are focused on trying to wear the lenses of others and fail to understand that each of our situations are different and God never intended for us to compare our lives and situations to others and what they're going through or have been through.
This book is designed to walk you through some of the challenges not only with many of the great leaders through the Bible but also with transparency of my life and how that through it all, God was intentionally aligning everything in my life according to his will. Each chapter is to grow the reader's mindset to develop a sense of purpose, desire, and will to not look at things through the narrow lenses of carnality but to view all things in life from a godly perspective.
In order to view your life from a godly perspective, we must first change our lenses!

God’s Perspective
This book is dedicated to those individuals whose faith has been challenged and tested in so many ways, causing one to either lose hope or question if whether or not God is for me or against me. It is for the single mother/father that may be struggling, trying to make ends meet through balancing work and family life; to the married couples, regardless of the phase in your marriage, whose finances continue to seem hopeless, even working countless jobs, but to no avail as debt keeps you in bondage; and to the child(ren) that has lost their parent(s) and has been placed in a societal system of foster care, feeling neglected and unloved and going from home to home, only to cry yourself to sleep at night. Even during the calamities in which you faced, you continue to dream.

Faith and Sight
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
—Hebrews 11:1
What seems to be a familiar passage of scriptures is also a scripture in which many believers and unbelievers of the Gospel quote—however, failing to fully comprehend its meaning. Faith and sight are two words which must be aligned together in order to fully grasp the concept and meaning of this scripture. As we dissect the two, the intent is to bring clarity or enlighten the senses of the reader. Faith is defined as complete trust or confidence in someone or something. It is first attained through belief before sight is manifested in the natural. Faith is hope, hope is belief, and belief is seeing not through the eyes of doubt but through the eyes of knowing the substance of my belief will produce an outcome that will become tangible.
I like how the scripture starts out with an action word, now faith! The now is awakened with purpose simply because the moment the individual begins to activate purposefully their belief, hope of now, it connects to the substance of what is to come. Substance is literally the very words we speak into existence or speak concerning our situation. Proverbs 18:21 states, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." There is no in between when dealing with the language of our words. It is either we are speaking blessings or we are speaking curses. This pertains not just to people we come in contact with on a daily basis. It pertains to our very beings of self. When we don’t have the right substance in us, we become vulnerable to the side effects of the impossibilities rather than the possibilities. We focus more on the negatives aspects of being pessimistic versus the positive equation of operating with an optimistic mindset.
The fascinating part about this is that it is common in the church with the lives of
