Revival - Thomas Kruger (The Poet)

    The Young and the Old

    The little ones in church

Are so beautiful in heart and soul,

    Especially those who were baptized

And have made loving and serving God their lifetime goal

    Reaching out to others

    With inward and outward love,

Praising Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

And all the angels of above

The children who have come to the Lord

Are blessed to reach out to bless others,

They are so innocent and so loving kind and beautiful

That they place happy tears in all their born-again sisters and brothers

Praise God that they were taught early in life

To believe the words of truth of the Holy Bible,

As they put to memory the verses within

As we pray for Salem Church and its great and wonderful revival

    Drawn into the fold

To be born again and to be vessels of heavenly light,

Loving one another of every sister and brother

As they glow like little angels gloriously shining bright

Those thirteen that were baptized last Sunday

Were not only of the young ones but also of the old,

It was a day of unending rejoicing

As blessings miraculously before our eyes did unfold

    Young and old alike

Reached out before our joyful tear-filled eyes,

As souls were cleansed in the baptism of the waters of Lori’s pond

To one day rise to that heavenly home that lies beyond the sky’s

    Come One. Come All

Lord be with me through all my earthly life

From beginning to end and beyond,

My heart is yours to do with what you will

As you lift me up whenever I’m down

You give us a greater reason for life

Filled to the full of our soul with a greater purpose for living,

We rejoice dear lord of heaven and earth

For to serve you with the gifts to us that you have given

I write poems for your glory, Lord

To reach out to others through the gift that you gave to me,

There are so many souls wrapped up in bondage

Needing you Lord to set them free

We must never let you down, Lord

For I know that of us you never will,

As we use of that which you have given

To touch searching souls for their hearts to fill

Life can change at the very moment

That you walk up to that altar of grace,

Knowing that one day, oh one glorious day

That you will rise up to be forever in that holy of holy home of a better place

Life here on earth is God’s testing grounds

To draw others into the arms of Jesus,

You will never in your life regret that move

As you live to God of your very, very best

    Come one, come all

In answer to the spirit’s call,

And he will lift you up

    To never again fall

To the Congregation of Salem Church

    Jim Bartley can sing

With a beautiful southern accent of voice,

    And play the guitar

With more umpf than that of a Rolls-Royce

    Charlie Stuckman

    Can tell dumb jokes,

    Better than any other

    Of other folks

Gary Colby is a great preacher

Very good at getting his point across,

As he reaches out to lift up the saved

And to draw in, as we all should, those of the lost

John Durham is a good friend

That sticks closer than a brother,

He is and will always be

Closer to me than any other

Janet Elwood is a good friend

With no house blocking our view of one another,

She lives across the bay from me

And she is as a sister to me and I to her as a brother

I love all of every one of Salem Church

The young and the old alike,

    And as of now
