About this ebook

Your Facts Are Not My Truths is about the traumas that we experience and need to be healed from. The whispers, silence, and sworn secrecies that we put on a daily basis, the sexual assaults, molestations, relational abuses of all manners, and family secrets, we are physically suffering in our bodies and minds with ailments because of the shame and rage we feel. We remain silent so people only know the facts about us. We have kids with two baby fathers/mothers, we are sick or angry, we have STDs, but people are ignorant to our truths! Sometimes life happens. We were raped and left with STDs. Our companion lived double lives, a family member violated us, or maybe we couldn't have children so we went to a fertility clinic to conceive. Their judgments of us are based on what they see and not what they actually know about us. This book isn't to prove anything to anyone but to help us understand one another and to help us heal, to expose Satan's tactics, which he uses to isolate and destroy us but most importantly to let the people of the world know that there is a God who heals, saves, sets free, delivers, and restores us. And when we deal with the truths instead of the facts, we will live whole, healthy, and prosperous lives. It's never too late to heal no matter the age, gender, or race. From the victims to the predators, there is redemption through Christ for us all! Every living soul needs Jesus! You are who God says you are! Remember the fact was that they saw Jesus as Mary's boy who they crucified, but here's the truth, He was the prophesied Messiah who was to come-to save us all! Jesus, the Son of God!

    Introduction

Hi, my name is Tricia, but everyone calls me Tri (tree). I’ve always loved English writing and literature, yet writing a book never crossed my mind. But I have learned that life will change your views and thoughts about everything you think you know.

Growing up, I was always daydreaming about what I defined as a perfect life, imagining what it would be like if I had control of what occurred in my world.

But some of us who are seasoned know that it doesn’t exactly work that way! Life doesn’t quite turn out the way we imagine it or plan it. Life has a way of teaching us that we are not our own. Society and the social media tell us to create our own world. But I don’t know about that statement. I am not sure that it is 100 percent accurate. I mean think about it… If we really had that much power and control over our lives, would alcoholics be alcoholics? Would poor people choose to create for themselves a life of poverty? Would drug addicts choose to lose themselves, everything, and everyone else in their lives? Would teenagers choose to fail twelfth grade and do an extra year in high school?

Anyone with a sane mind would say no, capital N and capital O! Still these are real-life situations that many of us deal with on a day-to-day basis. Whether it is for a loved one or we ourselves, it is real! At some point, we lost control. It doesn’t matter if the choices were taken from us or if we played with a thing so long and so much that it took over. The truth remains that we had no control of the situation. No one as a child or teen says to themselves, When I get older, I am going to move to a state that will one day have a hurricane or tornado, one so severe that it will destroy my home and everything I’ve worked for, possibly taking the lives of my spouse and children.

The fact is that we assume the best for our lives. We plan it, some of us pray about it, and some of us don’t. Some of us set goals and New Year’s resolutions. While some of us don’t even bother because there’s always a reason not to follow through! The truth is we don’t really have that much power to create our own perfect world. That’s why we often try and live our lives through others or try and imitate someone else’s life!

The one thing that we can truthfully tell ourselves and do for ourselves is Bounce back. Life will get rough and troublesome at times, but as long as God graces us to wake up with breath in our bodies another day, there is a chance for us make lemonade out of the lemons life hands us.

What I am sharing in this book is the truth about my life. And many others will find themselves in here to. My journey is about hurting and healing, unexpected traumas and overcoming them, and abuse of all sorts and becoming victorious over them. I am sharing my heart with you for a few reasons: (1) God told me to, (2) I want you to know that you are not alone neither are you the only one, and (3) I want to expose the enemy. He doesn’t have any new tricks or trades, just new and familiar faces.

I’ve realized that keeping silent is just as bad as giving a weapon to a child. The longer the silence, the more people are hurt and hurting. Suicides, homicides, curses, and violence are occurring because we keep quiet, and people feel alone. They are confused, hurt, and angry. They believe that it’s only them, terrified and ashamed to tell. Or the infamous what happens in this house and family, stays in this house and family code is in effect. Meanwhile mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical deaths are occurring. We fight for animals and expose their abuse, but we won’t protect each other as humans. I love animals, no shots fired toward any agencies fighting for them. But why are we not fighting as hard for each other, to protect each other, to help each other heal?

So God lead me to write this book and share my journey with you as a tool for healing. I will speak aloud on things people want you to whisper or keep silent about. I am going to expose some of the enemy’s most frequently used weapons that he uses against us to destroy us. And I am going to share and spread the good news about God’s love for us and His abilities and willingness to heal, save, deliver, restore, and set us free of the demons we silently live with—the ones we are trying to silence with medications, alcohol, sex, and drugs.

In this book I will talk about my experiences with molestation, sexual, physical, mental, emotional, and verbal abuses, as well as pharmaceutical drug abuse and alcohol abuse, suicide attempts, anxiety, loneliness, and low self-esteem.

I will discuss the importance and process of admittance, help, support, and healing. I will share with you how to not just survive but overcome, from overcoming to being healed and from being healed to being redeemed and live victoriously!

God wants to help you and heal you! That’s right, little ol’ you! He wants you to know that you are not alone, that even though He may not have stopped every single bad thing from happening to you, He loves you and cares for you. He has never stopped. You may say, He doesn’t care or He left me alone, but if that were true, you wouldn’t be here, let alone read this book. Some people didn’t make it; some people didn’t survive. Though these things and worse are not good! Like myself, allow Him to use your testimony to help free others that are going
