For so long my life was in bondage

My heart, filled with pain

Anger and hate tore my world,

But love touched my life once again.

A second chance He gave me

The first time, I did not obey

He said, "Come to me, my child,

And your burdens, I’ll take away."

One day I gave my life to Him

Along with the pain that tore my world apart

He nourished and restored my life,

And healed my broken heart.

Today, my life has new meaning
