Soul Licensed: Tips and Tales

I had been getting messages from psychics for some time that I should do some writing. That prompted me to create a small website page with spiritual insights in 2012. More recently, I started getting e-mail prompts and deadline notices about an online book writing class offered by psychic medium James Van Praagh whose books and television show I was familiar with.

After ignoring about six e-mail prompts, I was in Traverse City, Michigan, on vacation, when I thought it would be fun to get a psychic reading there.

The psychic told me, among other things, that my guides on the "other side" wanted me to do some more writing. I took this as a signal that I should join the online class, which had a deadline to join two days after my reading. So I sent in the money, and after much soul-searching, Soul Licensed: Tips and Tales resulted two years later (long after the class ended).

It had occurred to me that there are many people I know who seemed to lack any hope for something after this lifetime. Everyone was out to complete physical goals or have fun without any true belief about there being an afterlife.

I had learned from my experiences that there was a very good reason to enjoy our lives here...and look forward to much more than what was visible on this planet. So I thought I would write this book sharing some of my interactions with spirits, energy, and psychics and offer my wisdom on how to create a healthier, more peaceful existence.

You, the reader, can then take that information, in addition to the many clues (including license plate messages) that we get daily from the "other side" and discover your own reality. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed this process and living this life with daily reminders that we are never alone in this sphere. Have a wonderful journey!

CHAPTER 1

Beginnings

The energy was not running, so the teacher told me to open my third eye. What kind of nonsense was this, I thought. But I set my intent to flow energy from my forehead, and soon my third eye began doing things I did not know it could do! My hands became warm, and my forehead was throbbing with intensity. My wife, Jane, lying on the massage table, said she could feel my energy.

This was amazing to me. I had never felt such a connection with Spirit/Source/God before. Now it was real! Our Cincinnati (Tennessee based) Reiki master/teacher, who was also psychic, said she could see the energy coming out of my forehead and the palms of my hands.

On our way home to Columbus that night in 2002, Jane and I were amazed at the brilliance of the setting sun and the night sky. Entranced, we looked at each other in a silent wow moment. Our lives were definitely changed.

We were soon practicing Reiki (hands on and off) healing on ourselves, each other, and other people. Within six months, we were in Sedona, Arizona, to learn more and obtain our Reiki master/teacher certification.

The Reiki master class was a blessing for us, and we returned to Ohio with excitement and a little trepidation about having our first class. We set a date, placed an ad, and waited. A pastor and his wife responded. His wife told us that her husband had used hands on healing, but he could not control it to his satisfaction. We had a very interesting class after which both he and his wife were flowing energy.

A few weeks later, we saw the pastor, and he told us about an amazing experience he had during a sermon he was giving. He said he felt energy moving to the congregation through his third eye. He was quite surprised.

We were very happy to hear about his experience, and our Reiki practice grew with more classes and unique events through the years.

CHAPTER 2

Psychics

The catalyst for our Reiki spiritual adventure began while my wife and I were on vacation in Sedona, Arizona. I had read in the local free weekly paper that for $20, we could attend a group session to meet our relatives on the other side. It was a rainy Sunday night, and my wife and I arrived only to discover a large puddle we had to cross to even get in the door. We were the only two people who showed up.
