The Other Woman: Can You Walk Away from It?

About this ebook
Audrey Maxwell is passionate about the beauty of God’s creation of mankind. This book was God-inspired to edify, rescue, heal, and bring hope and strategy to all that need an encounter with God as well as a time of refreshing from life’s unavoidable curveballs. Priceless Jewels, founded in 2009, came from her conviction to pour into God’s Priceless Jewels and Gems all that He has poured into her. Based on Malachi 3:17, the annual Priceless Jewels Women’s Conference (Women of Worth Summit) was established. Audrey has been given insight that illuminates the inner worth and value of women who were created and fashioned by God for His good pleasure.
Over many years, women from all walks of life have been enlightened, transformed, and discovered their worth. They now understand the beauty of being a virtuous woman. Proverbs 31 teaches that a woman’s worth is far above rubies, meaning we are among the rarest jewels. Adam proclaimed the original woman to be bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh because she was taken out of him. The OG (original greatness) of God is in every woman, though lying dormant in many. Audrey is anointed by God to call forth the Other Woman (original woman) that she may acknowledge, proclaim, and know her worth. The premise, “I am SHE (serene, holy, and efficient),” is the Other Woman who has lived within us from the beginning. She’s a woman of wonder and royalty. SHE is known as a woman of strength, heart, and elegance. The Other Woman has always been given a bad reputation, but all is not lost. This message is to give her hope and exposure. Enjoy the words of life and hope shared on every page of this book. Visit the author’s webpage at www.Audreyrmaxwell.com Follow her on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter at @audreyrmaxwell

The Other Woman
To My Priceless Jewels
Priceless Jewels is not only the name of the women’s ministry that God anointed and assigned me to birth many years ago, but it is also the love and passion that I have for my two lovely, beautiful, and God-fearing daughters, Teri Renee James and Precious Jewel Maxwell.
I dedicate this book of memoirs and ministry to you both. I thank God for all your prayers of intercession and service within our family and ministry.
Teri, my firstborn, thank you for being my inspiring writing coach and your creative designing ability. I appreciate you for bringing forth my inner vision for this book cover.
Precious Jewel, my warring worshipper and songbird. This is an important part of my legacy that I share with you both. I love, adore, and appreciate you.
To my heartbeat, my first and only grandson, Keen-Yean Ashar James, Grandma loves you in a big way.
Love you all endlessly!
Foreword
It is indeed an honor and a great pleasure that I write this foreword for my beautiful bride of thirty-eight-plus years in holy matrimony. We have come this far by faith. We have experienced the best of times and the worst of times. In her memoirs, you’re going to be blessed, provoked, and challenged chapter after chapter as you hear her experiences. The trails of her faith will increase your faith and broaden your territory.
When the bottom falls out, you will know how to climb closer to the top. Waiting time is not wasted time
is what she often says and teaches. My wife is a prayer warrior, knows spiritual warfare, and also a peacemaker. God has chosen her to suffer some things to help others who would later go through the same things in their life. She says often that when she was a teenager, God spoke these words to her, You never suffer anything for yourself. You suffer because you will have to help someone else who wouldn’t have made it through.
In all you are suffering, God has a plan for it. We know that weeping comes in our nighttime, but joy cometh in the morning. We’ve cried many nights, but when the morning comes, we smile, we shout, and we rejoice. Don’t just read this book, study it and seek God for personal revelations that will strengthen and bless you. A godly wife will help a good man become a great godly man. Enjoy and be blessed.
Apostle T. C. Maxwell
Preface
This book is my story, one of the extreme highs and lows in my life. This is my story of rewards, favor, and success. It is also my story of loss, betrayals, being hated, and the failures that became my fertilizer to grow and become the woman of worth and great value that I am today. Through it all, God has sustained me, stayed near me, and taught me as He gave me a glimpse of the other side. Because of it all, today I am a classic, classy woman of God who has been commissioned to share my story to encourage all, especially women who struggle with knowing their self-worth and those who are pastors’ wives (first ladies) who feel as if no one can hear their silent screams.
I desire that everyone will read beyond my story to see that God allows things in our lives—good, bad, or indifferent—to bring us to our destiny. This place causes us to look back and proclaim that though it wasn’t easy, it was truly necessary and worth it. During the very intense suffering of my teenage years, God revealed to me. He said to me, You suffer nothing for yourself, but you suffer to be able to bring someone or others through who would otherwise not make it. The first shall be last, and the last shall be first.
This brought me so much clarity and peace.
I was in the last place then, but now it is open for everyone to see that God has brought me to the forefront for His glory and His work of healing, hope, and the pleasurable joy that He promised you. For God has begun a good (great) work in you, a work that He will perform and display before the world. He made you worth it!
As you read my personal experiences of ultimate victory through Jesus Christ, who loved me through it all, I pray that insight and foresight will be given to you in how near, present (gift), and mindful God is concerning you as well as everything that concerns you. He will make you to look back for a moment over your past life to see where He was at work orchestrating your deliverance and His glory. After which you are inspired to write your story, it will be a journal to be printed, ministered, or published. You are now commissioned not only to be your neighbor’s keeper, but a living testimony of an overcomer.
The purpose of my story is to convince you that you are also a woman or man of strength who will excel despite the cares of life or circumstances in life that we have no control of. I want you to be strong in the Lord and the true power of His might because it is His strength that makes you excel. There is a story behind every tear, accomplishment, and experience that we encounter in life, whether we walk toward, through, or away from it.
You have lived your story and are yet living the continuation of it. Your story is of great value. Whether it is your past, present, or future, it’s a story of worth and inspiration. I encourage you to share it for others who can overcome by the words of your testimony and the favor of God on your life. Take the time to tell your story that with God, all things are possible on the wings of your faith.
I desire this book to edify and encourage you that your latter days will be greater than your former, and that your future is looking mighty good. I encourage you to be of good courage and never give up on your God-given dreams, abilities, and developments. He brought you this far on purpose. He’s got you, and He is going to make success look good on you. He has great plans for you and your future. How do I know? Because He did it for me, and it is the inheritance of the believers.
Introduction
Around fifth grade, I was being picked on every day by other children. Today, they call it bullying. After experiencing this, I was very hurt. I was so humiliated and broken from all of the jokes and horrible things that were said about me until I started to cry. I walked into the house one day, still crying. My mother asked, Girl, what’s wrong with you? What are you crying for?
At that time, I was so upset that I could barely speak to answer her. I replied softly, Those kids were talking about me and calling me names.
My mother became extremely angry! She grabbed me by the arm and pulled me into our kitchen to stand in front of the refrigerator. After opening the door, she started to yell, Are they feeding you? Are they putting any food in here? When they start feeding you and taking care of you, then you worry about what they say. Until then, shut up and don’t worry about what nobody says about you.
Well, that was the most important early in life lesson I learned well and applied to my entire life. Because my mother taught me this, my perception changed immediately. I cannot control what people think, say, or do. However, I can control how I choose to respond. I also have the power to control what I allow to affect me. This was not the only thing that she taught me. There was so much more. My mother also taught me how to keep a clean house, keep my appearance classy and decent when leaving the house, and respect others at all times. Thank you, Mother, for everything that you have poured into me. I am forever grateful, and I appreciate all that you have done for me.
I was also very blessed to have a great father. He, too, taught me valuable lessons to apply to my life. He made sure that I understood how to think for myself and taught me never to be a thoughtless follower. My father lectured me on how to carry myself as a lady, what to wear and not to wear to school, etc. The funniest part of this lecture is when he advised me never to wear a pair of shoes twice in a row. I didn’t get this then, and I still don’t. However, it was a hilarious principle that I made sure I followed. He also taught me never to put on fresh or clean clothes without showering first, even if I had just showered less than an hour earlier. I still do not understand this either. My dad lectured me all the time, and because I loved wisdom, I welcomed it. I never got tired of it. I remember when my mother fell ill and could not care for my sister and me effectively. My sister and I had to live with him temporarily. He set up private sewing lessons for us with a master seamstress. I was only in
