Marilyn Jackson-Galbreath is a follower of Jesus Christ, a wife, mother, and grandmother. For the past twelve years, Marilyn has served as senior pastor of House of Manna Church. Dedication

This book is dedicated first and above all to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is my constant companion and faithful-unfailing Rock. I now realize He has been there for me throughout my life; through every good and bad situation. Jesus has brought me through so many dangers and storms in my life. He has been my shelter, my provider, my strength, my hope, my protector, and my deliverer. Lord Jesus, I’m so glad I don’t have to worry about where I’d be without You because You’ve promised to never leave me or forsake me. May the words in this book bring You glory and honor and may they display Your love and concern for us and Your glorious magnificent power and intervention in our lives.

This book offers hope to the hopeless. No matter what we go through in life, God always has His hand over you and your life. The author is a strong woman who has gone through things that would take someone out but for God, she is still here honoring God with her life showing others what a difference having faith can make.

As a child, my mother always said to me and my siblings don’t argue with me, argue with the Bible and I absolutely hated it. However, as an adult, I see she was absolutely correct. The Word of God has and will forever remain valid as the key to life. I think anyone who reads this book will see that faith is what gets you through. No matter how dark the day is, Jesus is still there as a ray of sun peeking out over you. Don’t ever give up the fight. Keep praying, keep believing, I know I will.

Preface

This book came about as a result of me being able to witness so many supernatural incidents, miracles, signs and things that confirmed to me that God is real; He is still moving in the affairs of humans today; and that nothing can stop His power from manifesting and working in and through us. There was a time when I thought God was so far removed from mankind and that He didn’t have time for us. I have come to see The Sovereign Hand of the Lord God, not only in my life but in the lives of so many others as well.

Those situations have given me a stubborn faith that cannot be moved by any situation or circumstance; and believe me, many have tried. I thought it would benefit and encourage others who are going through tough times where their faith is tested. I truly hope this book offers hope to everyone who reads it and that they’ll know God is real and we can go to Him with all our cares in this life. I will continue to pour out my heart about the goodness of the Lord!

God’s love for us is incredibly amazing. We cannot fully understand it. He loves us so much – even to the point of doing things that are best for us even though we may not understand or welcome it. He loves us enough to say, No. He loves us enough to take action without getting our approval or permission. His love is immeasurable and true.

I would like to acknowledge, in addition to my Lord and Savior Jesus, my mother, Esther, also referred to as Momma, who is now in the presence of our Lord Jesus. She believed in me and taught me to believe I could do all things through Jesus Christ who gave her strength and would do the same for me. Momma, I can still hear you singing in that sweet voice, It is no secret what God can do. What He’s done for others, He’ll do for you. You were such a strong and courageous woman of faith who, in spite of life’s disappointments and setbacks, saw many victories in your life – the greatest of which was being ushered into the presence of the God you love, Jesus Christ.

I would be negligent if I didn’t mention my sisters and brothers. They’ve always been my human protectors. They, too, pushed me, sometimes not so gently, to move forward through life’s adversities and consequences of poor choices. They cheered me on and remained in my corner even when I was in some very dark places. I thank our Heavenly Father for placing me in the family He chose. I was born after five boys – five years after the last son was born to my mother and father with two daughters being the product of the first two births. Each in their own way taught me to be loyal, tough, smart, and loving; and to never give up.

Then there are my three beautiful daughters who individually bring out the best in me according to their personalities. Each one is so much like me in so many ways yet have their own very strong personalities. I thank God for using them to sharpen me to make me the best wife, mother, and person I could be.

I’m thankful for my husband becoming so pliable and moldable in the Lord’s hands and for allowing God to undergird me in the paths He has called and led me to. Even though they may not have made sense to my husband, Bill, he trusted I was hearing from God and therefore supported me, and when I needed him, he stood by me, helping, never trying to hinder me in any way.

Pastor Joe (PJ) and his beautiful wife Maryann and so many other believers God has used – too many to mention – I thank God for using you all in my life. Each one of you were and still are a tool used by God in this
