About this ebook
Maybe I was too young to remember everything the first time I went with my dad on a weekend camping trip, but I knew what I saw. When no one believed me, I grew up determined, knowing that someday I would go back to search for the truth and prove myself. I never could have imagined that what I would discover in that dark, dense island jungle would change my life forever.

He looks around and sniffs the air and stares into a big dark tree covered in vines. He can tell there is something there—a pair of eyes open wide from within the vines. The gorilla sees and roars out loud before charging, then screams—
Wait, let me start from the beginning.
My name is Taylor. When I was younger, I talked my dad into bringing me along on one of his work trips. My dad was a conservationist; he did studies on plants and roots and stuff. This time, we were going to the jungle, and I couldn’t wait. I was so excited about all the animals I would see there.
