    Summer of 1965

    T he summer just before my 13th birthday, I was living in a small coastal town in oregon called Cape Wind. That was the summer I met not only two of the best friends any one could ever have, but to learn the value of family. This was the summer that changed my life forever.

    The summer of 1965, We moved to Cape Wind Oregon. My dads job moved had us from Granada Hills California. I remember my sister Katie being upset having to leave our school, and friends. We moved to a house that was at the far end of town that had only but a 3 block area were their is a small neighborhood that was surrounded by woods and miles of scotch broom.

    Sitting around the house, I got board and thought that since I love adventures, I was going to go walk threw the scotch broom and make paths like a maze. So I set out on my bike with my tools in a back pack and headed in search of the perfect spot to start.
