IN CONVERSATION WITH Jodi Picoult

‘After 25 years, you don’t really think about how you make the sausage’

Jodi Picoult has never shied away from tackling controversial issues. In 25 years of writing, she’s covered everything from organ donations to abortion and racism. In her new novel, The Book of Two Ways, she looks at death. Dawn, once an archaeologist, now a death doula, helps her clients navigate the passage between life and death. But she hasn’t given a lot of thought to her own death, or life. That is, until she survives a plane crash that makes her reflect on the path not taken.

Jodi lives in New Hampshire, USA, and has three grown-up children.
