About this ebook

The words of Mighty God are in the Old and New Testaments. His words are love letters to His human creation. They are about living on life on earth with satan and sins and redemption for salvation by establishing a direct mutual relationship with the Creator God who shows blessings every day and night. The complex process of being alive on earth is under constant attacks by satan while we are trying to prevent dangerous outcomes and not to fall into the abyss of satan. The humanity has been given free-will by God to choose either the just and right of "good" under the light of God or the dark and wrongs of the "evil" with satan. The Divine Power of God is on our side to protect while we are on a spec of dust of this universe in the eternal fabric of the space and time across the center of the incomprehensible unknown, the home of the Creator God Almighty. The creation of this universe and the earth we live on are the expressions of His Divine Love to become with us, He wants to empower us from within, with Love and never ending glory. He wants to separate satan's evils from His star light goods. He wants us to have this short time on earth with ethical spirituality while we are on this tiny planet in circular motion around the sun of His.

God Good and Satan Evil - Joseph Sener

    Chapter 1

    Hierarchy of Angels

The orderly, well-designed, responsible Creation of God is reflected in the hierarchy of His angels. God Almighty has Divine emanations (Sefiroths) through which He has manifested His existence during the Creation of heavens and universe in matters in ten dimensions.

It is believed that God has radiated from Himself ten basic intelligences (like His ten Dimensions). Each of these represents a trait or characteristic of Himself. These ten creative powers govern and shape His Creation in the cosmos with inorganic and organic matter along with all spiritual matter in every ten dimensions. Some are visible in the lower three dimensions, and the rest are not visible in the higher seven dimensions. In the Jewish Cabala (Jewish metaphysical writings), there are ten sefiroths. They are issued from the right side of God. It is believed that God uses the sefiroths as intermediaries in dealing with and controlling His lower creation. These ten emanations are God’s Will, God’s intelligence, God’s Divine love, God’s Divine judgment, God’s Divine compassion, God’s never-ending endurance to eternity, God’s Divine majesty, God’s presence in every activity, and God’s ever-presence everywhere, and at every time.(1)

The emanations of Creator God create orderly spiritual beings closest to Himself. They are seraphims and cherubims, archangels and categories of angels. The presentation includes three orders and nine divisions. These will not be addressed here; however, most commonly known main categories will be addressed below.

    1a. Seraphims

They are celestial spirit beings closest to God. Out of a total of nine choirs, they are in the first choir of angels praising God, their Creator. They are fiery spirits, forever burning with non-consuming flames and are in continuous revelation around God Almighty, emitting heat like lightning. They constantly sing by praising God and regulate three heavens. They are spirits of love, light, and fire. They are the highest order of the hierarchy of choirs serving and chanting God endlessly, saying, Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory, which is the song of creation and celebration. Being close to God, they are called the burning ones, for they are aflame with their love of God. In God’s Will, they may inspire human beings to become inflamed with Divine Love.(2)

    1b. Cherubims

They are the all-knowing angelic celestials with fullness of knowledge and wisdom. They are the source of all powers to know God and contemplate God, representing capacity to understand and communicate Divine Knowledge. Cherubims are second in the hierarchy of angels. The origin of the word is Akkadian language, and it means one who prays or one who intercedes. They are regarded as spirits of protection, placed at the Garden of Eden, at the entrance to prevent Adam and Eve from returning to the garden after their fall. Cherubims are figuratively shown on the Ark of the Covenant. They perform guardian functions. The chief of the order of Cherubims is Archangel Gabriel. They are also record keepers under the Will of God. They are said to have wheeled chariots of the Divine. Under the Will of God, they emanate love of knowledge and wisdom.(3)

    1c. Archangels

They are a group of seven chief angels who head the world of angels generally described as dwelling in the proximity of God. They are in charge of things of special significance to God. Their major functions are to oversee the operations of other angels while praising God. They are the angels of the Presence of God. The Holy Bible gives the names of three main chief archangels. They are St. Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. They are revered as God’s messengers and helpers of God’s operations. These three archangels are allowed to be ever present in His presence. They are not to be worshipped. The names of the remaining four archangels are Uriel, Raguel, Zaakiel, and Saraquel. The first three of the seven archangels are divine messengers to carry out the divine decrees of God to humans and are ultimately in control of God’s fighting force of angels, who are constantly in battle with the sons of darkness, with St. Michael at the helm.

Archangels, with angels, are closest to humankind, so that they act as guardians and messengers. Archangel St. Michael leads all the angels in their posts as guardians of all human nations. As mentioned before, the four principal archangels are (i) Michael, who rules fire, (ii) Raphael, who rules air, (iii) Gabriel, who rules water, and (iv) Uriel, who rules earth.(4)

In the Roman Catholic tradition, the days of the four principal archangels, as they are celebrated, are (i) Michael on September 29 (birth time of the Lord Jesus Christ on earth), (ii) Gabriel on March 24, (iii) Raphael on October 24, and (iv) Uriel on July 28.(4)

Four principal archangels are also mentioned and were asked their protection in the name of God by saying, May Michael be at my right hand; Gabriel at my left; before me, Uriel; behind me, Raphael; and above my head the Divine Presence of God. Amen.(5)

Archangels carry God’s messages to humans and command God’s armies of angels in the constant battle with the sons of darkness. Archangels are led by Archangel St. Michael.

In the Muslim religion, the following principal angels are mentioned for the angelic order: (i) Djibril (Gabriel), who is the head messenger and announcer of God’s order; (ii) Mikhail (Michael), who is the head angel of the providence and guardian of God’s kingdom; (iii) Israfil, who is the head messenger to summon the dead to resurrection in the Last Day. It is the angel of the judgment day who blows the horn to awaken the dead. It prays to God in a thousand different tongues; (iv) Ezra’il, who is the angel of death at departure time from earth. It earned this appointment from God by bringing a handful of earth from which God created Adam. At the time of death, Ezra’il comes to carry the soul (and spirit) back to heaven. It is said that when a person’s day of death approaches, a leaf with the person’s name on it falls from the tree of life beneath God’s throne. Then, after forty days have passed, Ezra’il severs the individual’s soul from the body.(6)

    1.1 St. Michael

St. Michael is the greatest principal angel, archangel, in all monotheistic religions. His dwelling is believed to be in the fourth dimension (fourth heaven?), located between the natural and supernatural. The meaning of his name is who is as God, and originally, the name is derived from the Chaldeans (from Mesopotamia). He is the chief of the order of virtues, chief of archangels, prince of light, prince of the presence, angel of repentance, angel of righteousness, mercy, and sanctification, and he is the conqueror of satan. He is the deliverer of the faithful, angel of the final reckoning, and the weigher of souls, benevolent angel of death, and the mighty warrior of God. He is the one who will descend from heaven with the key of the abyss and great [supernatural] chain in his hand and bind satan for a thousand years (in the Third Earth Age). St. Michael will attend the Last Judgment of God as one who provides sustenance to humankind. He has been considered as the weigher of souls and a weigher of hearts of the deceased. He is the rose of peace and the leader of God’s host. He is the first angel who obeyed God’s command to bow before Adam, a command that satan disobeyed.(7)

    1.2 Gabriel

He is one of the four principal archangels. The name Gabriel means God is my strength. It is Chaldean in origin. He is the governor of God’s Eden and ruler of the Cherubims. He is the angel of the annunciation and the resurrection from death. He is the angel of mercy, death, and the revelation. His dwelling place is believed to be in the seventh dimension (seventh heaven(?)), where God came down from His throne to examine His Creation. He is chief of the angelic guards, placed over Paradise, and chief ambassador of God to human creation. Gabriel is the announcer of the good news (Annunciation in Roman Catholic Religion) to Holy Mother Mary, who became mother of Jesus Christ (Son of God). Gabriel is the second angel who obeyed God’s command to bow before Adam, a command that satan disobeyed.(8)

    1.3 Raphael

The name means God has healed or shining one who heals. It is of Chaldean origin. He ministers before the presence of God. His name also means medicine of God. He is the chief angel of prayer, love, joy, and light. He is the guardian of the tree of life in heaven and in the Garden of Eden. He is the angel of medical sciences. He was originally called Rapha, which means healer, doctor, surgeon in the Hebrew language. He is the chief ruler of angels of healing. He is one of the seven archangels who defend the throne of God. He is one of the presences set over all deceased humans. He is said to be the chummiest and funniest of all angels. He is a sociable archangel of God, chatting merrily with mortal beings, especially at the time of their death on earth.(9)

    1.4 Uriel

His name means fire of God or flame of God. He is the archangel of salvation who presides over hell. He is the angel of repentance. He is known to be one of the angels who helped bury Adam and his son Abel. He is the messenger sent by God for destruction and calamity to destroy all existence on earth although he is the prince of lights. He is the interpreter of prophecies and the angel of the presence of God. His symbol is an open hand holding a flame. He is God’s angel of justice and His divine justice. He is the immortal angel of God on the day of judgment. He is the archangel come down to transform Enoch to God’s heavenly domain.(10)

    Chapter 2

    Fallen Evil Angels

Catholicism teaches that satan (lucifer, devil, demon, etc.) and its followers were angels who were created by God Omnipotent initially with virtue; however, all fell from the grace of God by their own self wills. The church does not clarify, in detail, how they forfeited their grace in front of God’s throne. But it is for sure that they radically and irrevocably denied Sovereign God, their Creator , and His kingdom in the three heavens. They joined their efforts to plant insubordination, rivalry, and opposition to God. This was the result of satan’s pride in its own greatness. It was jealous of God’s new creation, man. This started a battle in the heavens and caused some of them to fall from the grace and care of God. The battle and spiritual warfare in the heavens caused some of the angels of God eternal damnation to hell, which will come at the end of this Second Earth Age . Until its time is permanently up, satan is a formidable, real spiritual presence on earth seeking all men and women to turn away from God by providing endless temptations to cause sin for the world -weary modern man and woman. The final war between the Omnipotent God and satan (devil) will permanently end the effects of evil forces on earth. All humans are urged to align themselves with the forces of light where good dwells. Darkness is the dwelling place of evil. The final battle of good and evil will conclude the annihilatory defeat of the devil. The earth will be renewed in the Third Earth Age , upon annihilation of all evil forces and evil humans permanently in the consuming fire of hell. The righteous shall be resurrected to fill the life in the Millennial Age.

The earliest account of the first war in heavens between good (God) and evil (satan) together with the rebelling angels with satan against God is contained in the apocryphal writings of the Book of the Secrets of Enoch, a book of dubious authenticity in the apocryphal writings—hidden away—rejected from the Jewish canon by rabbis but returned in the Catholic canon. According to Christian legend, there was a great battle fought at the beginning of time between good angels, who supported God, and evil angels, who rebelled and supported satan’s attempt to take God’s place. It is believed that this tremendous battle took place on the second day of Creation. The war was fought by the Archangel Michael at the helm of the good angels against satan (lucifer) as a leader of the legions of darkness. The Mount St. Michael at the Norman coastline (in France) is the eternal monument to the victorious leader of the hosts of heaven in the war against the rebel evil.(11)

When lucifer (satan) left the heavens permanently (Dimensions 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10), it took one-third of the rebellious residents of the heavens with itself. Almighty God will not throw all of them with satan to the bottomless pit until the end-time on Second Earth Age. Some of the followers of satan were left on earth as evil spirits with the spirit of satan in order to continue tempting humans until the end-time. It has been said that Merciful God allowed them an opportunity to correct themselves on earth along with the humans whom they have tempted. This is a chance for them to ask forgiveness for their past and present vengeful acts against humans.

    2.1 Lucifer

Lucifer’s name is interchangeably used to represent the evil presence of satan on earth. Many times it is used in the Old Testament to mean satan. The meaning of the word lucifer is the light giver, astronomically representing the brightest object in the night sky (planet Venus), apart from the sun and moon, especially when it appears in the early morning hours as named mistakenly as morning star. This word is erroneously equated with the fallen angel, satan (lucifer). It is connected to the splendor of the king of Babylon, an oriental monarch. The Babylonians and Assyrians personified Venus, mistakenly as the morning star although it is the planet of the sun. The Assyrians called it Istar. Now it is associated with the word in English Easter, Ishtar, an inanimate object prayed to as an idol, promoting idolatry. The devil acquired the name lucifer when the Jews and early Christians identified the devil as a falling star, as in the passage from the prophet Isaiah. Lucifer (satan) was associated with brilliant beauty, power, and charm. To this end, it was allotted to have dominion over the earth initially. It seems to have retained some of these traits even after its fall and exclusion from the heavens. Its audacity went so far as to make attempts to seat itself on the great throne of God Almighty. Archangel St. Michael took up arms against and drew lucifer (satan) out of the heavens down to earth into a confined, reserve dwelling for all eternity. The contributing evil angels were expelled from the heavens and became demons. It may have been more appropriate to name lucifer as lightning fall from the sky than morning star, although it was once, before the fall, a favored angel of God.

    2.2 Satan

Its name is believed to have been originated from the Hebrew word satan (in Greek satanas), which means the accuser, tempter and connotes the idea of opposition. Originally it was a favored angel of God in good standing but led a revolt against God, and ultimately it was banished along with its followers from the heavens. It represents an adversary. It could assume either human or angelic features prior to its demise. It was only then permitted to have presence on earth only as spirit (see the writings in the Old Testament, titled Job) under the limited tasks set by God, under God’s direct supervision and limitations.

In the New Testament, it became personified as the devil and was pictured as a dragon or a serpent. Satan can never overwhelm God, and its movement as a spirit (permitted only up to the end-time) is always under the direct control of all-powerful God Almighty. As a leader of the fallen angels, satan is a tempter and the accuser. It leads humans astray by disguising its identity and inducing evil deeds. In religions, it is depicted as an incarnate snake and hornet. It appears in association with fidelity in sexuality cults and in the practices of witchcraft. It is the main source of all evil acts on earth that has led to massacres and destructions, and it inspires all ungodly behavior in humanity. It has been said that it was once treated as a favored prince, then became a fallen prince. Before, it outshone all others before God until its fall from God’s grace and favors. Satan is hostile to its Creator God, enemy of God’s humanity and manipulator of God’s entire creation. Its function is to seduce and destroy God-believing humankind. It is a perverse fallen angel and was able to entice other angels, about one-third of them.

In the New Testament, satan is the master of demons on earth. The following was written by the apostle John about the hour of crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus answered them, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Amen, amen I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will reserve it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there also will my servant be. The Father will honor whoever serves me.

I am troubled now. Yet what should I say? Father, save me from this hour? But it was for this purpose that I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name. Then a voice came from heaven, I have glorified it and will glorify it again. The crowd there heard it and said it was thunder; but others said, An angel has spoken to him. Jesus answered and said, This voice did not come for my sake but for yours. Now is the time of judgment on this world; now the ruler [satan] of this world will be driven out. And then I am lifted up from the earth. I will draw everyone to myself. He said this indicating the kind of death he would die. (John 12:23–33)(12)

When Jesus was on earth, He was not only confronted by men (unbelievers) but also by the incredulity and attacks of satan. These two groups of enemies are not separate and independent. Satan is behind all the obstacles to stop the work of Jesus. It knew that Jesus’s victorious and brave death over the cross was one thing, but it did not know anything about rising from death after crucifixion. During the event of Passion of Christ, satan made the disciples (all eleven of them) abandon Jesus during His most important time on earth when He needed them most.

Christ acquired for Himself the whole world through His Passion on the cross. He facilitated the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) to dwell among us to expedite the work of Father God. The following is written in John, in the New Testament.

I did not tell you this from the beginning, because I was with you. But now I am going to the one who sent me, and not one of you ask me, ‘Where are you going?’ But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts. But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate [Holy Spirit] will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you. And when he comes he will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation: sin, because they do not believe in me; righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me; condemnation, because the ruler of this world [satan] has been condemned. (John 16:1–11)(12)

Just as Jesus’s kingdom in the end-time awaits its full consummation, so too satan. It has not completely rendered. Its physical appearance is completely obstructed by God, but its evil spirit is not. It still wanders on earth in its spirit form. It still seeks to place obstacles to the apostolic work of the churches. As stated by Apostle Paul in the New Testament:

Brothers, when we were bereft of you for a short time, in person, not in heart, we were all the more eager in our great desire to see you in person. We decided to go to you—I, Paul, not only once but more than once—yet satan thwarted us. (1 Thessalonians 2:17–18)(12)

It is not unusual that satan disguises itself under attractive appearances without changing its intentions. The presence of its spirit on earth will end soon with the second coming of Jesus Christ on earth to establish the Kingdom of God, as it is written in Revelations.

Therefore, rejoice, you heavens, and you who dwell in them. But woe to you, earth and sea, for the devil [satan] has come down to you in great fury, for he knows he has but a short time. (Revelations 12:12)(12)

It is written in the Bible that it the end-time, after completion of a thousand years (God’s Time) under the Lord in the Millennium Age, satan will be permitted to gather all its resources in one final all-out try. However, it will have no success. As it is written in Romans and Revelations, in the Bible:

For while your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, I want you to be wise as to what is good, and simple as to what is evil; then the God of peace will quickly crush satan [permanently] under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you." (Romans 16:19–20)(12)

When the thousand years are completed, satan will be released [from the bottomless pit it was put in] from its prison. It will go out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Megog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea." (Revelations 20:7–8)(12)

    2.3 Iblis

In the books of the Muslim Religion, satan is called satan or iblis. It is described as a prideful angel who was ejected from heaven by Allah (the Supreme Being of the Muslims). Iblis provoked a war in heaven by leading a revolt. It was defeated and ejected from heaven with its followers.

In the tradition of Muslims, the vengeful actions of iblis (satan) are described differently. It is said that when God created Adam, He commanded all the angels (who were created before the creation of men) to welcome Adam to His hierarchy. Iblis refused, saying, Adam has been created from the mud, clay, earth, dust, and dirt; he is inferior to all angels who are spirits and does not deserve welcome from me who I am a fire of spirit. As a punishment for its conduct and disobedience to God’s command, iblis was transformed from heaven to earth as just being a spirit, and its free motions on earth are restricted. Subsequently, iblis and its following angels are removed from their positions and exiled from the presence of God. They were thrown to earth as demon spirits with iblis, their leader. Their final times are being counted and their mean acts on earth will come to end. Iblis and its hosts will be annihilated in the consuming fire of hell.

    2.4 Devil, Demon, Demonology

The words devil or demon are used interchangeably in history by humans, representing an evil spiritual entity. The origin of the words is the Greek diabolos, meaning throwing a slander across. Devil is forever banished from Paradise. Satan is the ruler of all devils.

The attempts (temptations) and the operation styles of devil are addressed in the Bible (New Testament) in Matthew 4:1–11, Luke 4:1–13, and John 8:42–46.

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit [Holy Spirit] into the desert to be tempted by the devil. He fasted for forty days and forty nights, and afterwards He was hungry. The tempter approached and said to Him, If you are the Son of God, command that those stones becomes loaves of bread. He said in reply, It is written: One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God. Then the devil took Him to the holy city, and stand on the parapet of the temple and said to Him, If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written: He will command His angels concerning you and with their hands they will support you, test you dash your foot against a stone. Jesus answered, Again it is written, you shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test. Then the devil took Him up to a very high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in their magnificence, and said to Him, All these I shall give to you, if you will prostrate yourself and worship me. At this, Jesus said, Get away satan. It is written, the Lord, your God, shall you worship and Him alone shall you serve. Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. (Matthew 4:1–11)(12)

Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days, to be tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they were over He was hungry. The devil said to Him, If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread. Jesus answered Him, It is written, one does not live by bread alone. Then [devil] took Him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a single instant. The devil said to Him, I shall give to you all this power and their glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I may give it to whomever I wish. All this will be yours, if you worship me. Jesus said to [devil] in reply, It is written: You shall worship the Lord, your God, and Him alone shall you serve. Then [devil] led Him to Jerusalem, made Him stand on the parapet of the temple, and said to Him, If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, for it is written: He will command his angels concerning you, to guard you; and With their hands they will support you, test you dash your foot against a stone. Jesus said to [devil] in reply, It also says, you shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test. When the devil had finished every temptation, it departed from him for a time. (Luke 4:1–13)(12)

Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and am here; I did not come on my own, but He sent me. Why do you not understand what I am saying? Because you cannot bear to hear my word. You belong to your father the devil and you willingly carry out your father’s desires. [It] was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth, because there is no truth [with it.] When it tells a lie, [it] speaks in character, because [it]
