Princess Delight

Princess Delight grew up in Trinidad and migrated to the US in 1975. She lives with her husband, Decell (the love of her life), and their children in Queens, New York. Through her parents’ love and witness, she first found Christ and became a Christian. She enjoys reading, writing, and sharing the love of God with her four children, five grandchildren, and others.

God is great and greatly to be praised. When we delight ourselves in Him, He will grant us the desires of our heart (Ps. 37:4). His word is true, if we just believe! Pastor R. Cook always ended his devotions by saying, Walk with the King and be a blessing! Grace and peace.

Introduction

It was all a big setup, orchestrated by God for His purpose and His glory. I am now totally convinced that our Creator gives us no rehearsals for the script He writes for our lives. He is the true Author and Finisher of all, and He writes the best stories. His plans for us are brilliant. The blueprints for our life stories are diligently created by Him, and He has thought up every last detail. All the pages of our bios have been sequentially numbered before we were even born—before this day ever came to pass. In His time, our God will make Himself known to each of us in a special way.

My desire is to be a light in a dark world. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven. This is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil (John 3:19). I will always choose truth, light, and life over lies, darkness, and death.

One of my favorite phrases in the Bible is Psalm 37:4: Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. As I delighted myself in the Lord, He granted me my heart’s desire. My authority comes from the Lord. I believe I have been given His authority to share this message.

God saw that something was left unfinished. I had some unresolved issues regarding matters of the heart. Like Paul in the Bible, these issues became a thorn in the flesh. God offered me an opportunity in my Kairos moment, a supreme moment divinely designed by God to fulfill my purpose and complete the work He had ordained for me. This was His assignment for me. Whenever God gives us a thing to do, He always gives us the grace to do it. I feel that the appointed time has come, and I am now ready to do this. God has gifted me to do it. Psalm 37:5 says, "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and
