About this ebook

Much, much before the time of Adam and Eve, in the beginning of the beginnings, once upon a time, there was a First Earth Age. God created the heavens, the earth (the first earth), and the light of the sun. He continued with His creative work and saw that all was good. Then God decided to create mankind in His image, male and female. God blessed them and instructed them to be fertile and multiply to fill the earth. God looked at everything He had made and found them so good. That was the sixth day, and the creation work of God was completed. God declared the seventh day as a holy day for His creation to repose and celebrate His work. All that happened during the First Earth Age.Then a spiritual war broke out in the heavens between God, the Creator of the heavens and earth, and His creation satan. This was war! In the end, satan lost the war against God. Almighty God recreated the earth and the stars around it. This was the start of the Second Earth Age. Adam and Eve were created by God at the beginning of the Second Earth Age. First, they were with God in Eden (a part of the fourth Dimension). God informed them that they were not to associate with satan. Against God's orders, they were involved with satan. God does not accept disobedience lightly; they lost their privileges with God. Adam and Eve, together with satan, were directed by God to leave the heavens (Eden) and told to establish their own lives on earth and survive together with satan in the days to come.We are the offspring of that time, and since then, we've been struggling on earth with the evil attacks of satan as a result of our own disobedience, which started with Adam and Eve. Our struggles on this second earth shall continue until the second coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in the end-time.Our lives on this second earth during this Second Earth Age have been difficult, as predicted by God. The challenges of life on earth start from the time of birth on earth. We are persevering with the attacks of evil forces. Despite everything that can go wrong, we are trying to make our lives pleasant. Sometimes we offer to one another a lavender flower to heal and as a symbol of loving togetherness. Offering a lavender flower can heal our souls and is a gesture of goodwill. The beautiful aroma of the lavender flower brings back the lost days on earth when fighting with evil.Ultimately and unfortunately, we will lose this beautiful second earth to the Apocalypse--the Armageddon of the end-time. Humanity shall experience the Rapture and the different stages of the Apocalypse (from its beginning until its end), followed by the Millennium Age of our Lord, Jesus Christ, on earth. The Millennium Age of one thousand years shall be followed by God's eternal age. God Almighty shall come down to earth from the heavens. The earth will be renewed to be a new earth. And when He comes down, He will see you, and you will see Him.It is God's message that all of His believers who live an obedient life shall be saved and rewarded by God at the end. That may include you and me! The Millennium Age of our Lord, Christ, will lead us to God's eternal age. A new heaven and a new earth will be delivered to humanity. The heavens and the new earth will be connected as one, and God will come down from the heavens regularly to see His creation. And His creation will see their Creator, God, many, many more times during the eternal age. All blessings and praises are for God Almighty and His Holy Trinity! Amen!

    Acknowledgments

    This is the fifth book written by this scribe of the Holy Spirit under His encouragement and directions. Thank You, Holy Spirit, God, the Spirit of God Almighty. I am dedicated to You and the work You wanted me to do. It is a privilege to be able to do Your work and to be Your scribe. I am humbled. I love You! I honor You just like You honor my efforts in life. I am grateful to You for allowing me to be part of Your work.

    This book, with its four companion books, is provided for readers of the world by the Holy Spirit of God the Father. He is the Third Person of the Holy Trinity. It is hoped that readers will use it as a source of enlightenment and inspiration for their souls and spirits. They are battling on earth with satan day and night until the day they depart from the earth. Writing this book with an emphasis on end-time events and the Apocalypse helped heal the heart of this scribe. He hopes the same for readers of this book.

    God has a command for us to follow. He says, To whom much is given, much is expected. I was destined to be one of them. It is His wish that this book is received by all and that they prepare themselves for the end-time. It is His promise that Christians living with God shall not go through the events of the Apocalypse. They will be saved from the tribulations. They will not experience the difficult moments of the end-time.

    I was created by God for his purpose in the image and likeness of God. Since my childhood, I have searched for the meaning of my life and its purpose on earth. Now I found it in my Lord, Jesus Christ. I have tasted His ocean of mercy in my most uncertain times. Now the life on earth is most chaotic, uncertain, and becoming more and more undependable. My only dependable partner is my God. I know that God is faithful to me even if I am not in these complex, uncertain times. I was full of emptiness in my heart before but not anymore. What I do in my life fits into God's plan and purpose for me. I pursue Him invariably and faithfully every day of my life. I pursue only God's plan for my remaining days in life and for the lives of others on my path. I now try to serve with humility rather than be served. Now I have a life with no reservations, without looking back, and with no regrets. I now live with no regrets. My God Almighty, with His Holy Trinity, has never disappointed me, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

    Lavender gardens are gardens of healing. This type of garden energizes with its aroma everyone who passes by. The aroma heals souls and broken hearts. We all live difficult lives with many different challenges. Our lives are always full of surprises. When you pass by a lavender garden, it happens. When you have lavender plants in your garden, then they grow also in your heart to give you the essence of relaxation and peace. With their aroma, the lavender's healing takes place in your heart before you depart from this second earth. Lavender shall not grow only in your garden but in your heart too. God has created this plant to heal the broken hearts of humanity. Thank You, Lord!

    This scribe wishes to express his heartfelt thanks to his dear friend Beatrice Flores. Beatrice inspired the name of this book. I learned not to do religious things outwardly without first possessing them inwardly. Thank you, Beatrice. I thank Mr. and Mrs. James and Katherine Claflin for their support and for their typing and reviewing of the original manuscript for publication. Thank you, Claflins. You are all very much appreciated. You are my soul friends.

    I hope that with my limited qualifications and capacity, I have delivered my assignments right and just. The Divine God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, are my witnesses. It is now your turn as a reader of this book to honor the Holy Trinity and ask their blessings upon your soul and spirit.

    The Holy Trinity—one God in three personalities. Do with me as You will. I am Yours! Amen! So be it! If it be Thy Will!

    Preface

    I am the most unlikely individual who could be involved in the writing of these books. I have a critical mind that likes to question everything. It is always analyzing and asking questions about everything in life. It is only until recent years that I learned how to have a peaceful mind with tranquility. Before this, to resolve the questions of cause and effect were always my priority. But not anymore. Now I have learned to turn them over to God and ask God to resolve them in compliance to His Will and show me His ways. Once I turn them over to God, then I removed myself and my involvement with the issues at hand, and now I wait for God's resolution in His time and according to His design. This is not easy to learn and apply, but the results are particularly good. God's resolutions and answers come at the most unexpected times with no early warnings, as a surprise. Now I have learned to wait patiently. The answers shall come with the midsummer rains. So learn to be patient, respectful, and gentle like God. Pass the salt and share His goodness with others.

    Early Greek philosopher Socrates said, Unreflected life is not worth living. He was right. These five books are from the reflections of my life. I hope my life was worthy. I hope I was a faithful servant reflecting the wishes of the Holy Trinity.

    The Creator, God, with His Son, Christ, shall judge me and this world again for the second time. He shall make a new planet earth for a second time, one more beautiful, more orderly, and more just according to His Will. I believe I have overcome so many things in this challenging life and delivered my promises to my Holy Trinity without attachments to the end results. I have been a recipient of His mercy and blessings with spiritual gifts. I learned to live by His Will. May He be merciful to my soul and spirit. May He show His compassion for my sins during the review of my life. May He permit me to be a part of the millennial age. May He continue keeping me under His divine grace.

    There is an historic place named Les Poblanos Farm in New Mexico, USA. It has twenty-five acres of lavender fields in the heart of the Rio Grande River Valley. One can discover and explore the lavender fields and gardens there. The fields are in and around the historic and renovated dairy barns, two silos, and an old farmhouse. The farmers harvest as much as six thousand tons of lavender plants from the fields between the mid-June and mid-July. The farmers make their own lavender oil. The delightful aroma of lavender is in the air as soon as one arrives at the site. The fragrant lavender invites visitors. This scribe visited these lavender fields, and during his visit, it was suggested the title of His fifth book be From the Lavender Gardens. So it is. May the Holy Spirit be as pleased as much as this scribe is. God has surprises for all of us. This was my surprise on that lavender day, and I am grateful.

    Chapter 1

    About the Lavender Plant

    The lavender plant (Lavanadula angustifolia), a native plant of the Mediterranean region and also known as Mediterranean mint, was initially identified around the coastlines of the Mediterranean Sea. In Turkish, it is called the lavanta plant. It is widely cultivated for its narrow, aromatic leaves and spikes of lilac-purple flowers, which are dried and used in sachets. Other similar plants have also been tried, but the results have been found to be inferior. Its flowers vary in color from a blue purple to a dark purple.

    The origin of the plant's name, lavender, comes from the Latin word lavare, which means to wash, indicating its use both in baths and for washing clothes. The word laundress comes from the word lavender. The most common lavenders come in two types: hardy and tender. The hardy ones are perennials from the Mediterranean area.

    Lavender now grows almost everywhere. There are twenty-eight lavender types; it is the best known of the fragrant herbs. For centuries, it has been abundantly used, loved, and treasured in all civilizations and by all cultures.

    As early as the first century BC, lavender has been used for medicinal purposes. For example, the Greek physician Dioscarides used its essential oil for medicinal purposes in AD 77. The Romans used lavender to scent the water in public baths, and other cultures have used it to disinfect water. These uses carried over to medieval times and are used for these reasons today.

    On the streets of nineteenth-century London, lavender flowers were sold for the healing of ailments. Today it is used in hospitals and hospice facilities to ease a patient's distress. Its fragrant smell is said to relieve persistent headaches and the trembling of the heart by relaxing a person's mood. Its extracted oil is used in medicine to calm the nerves and remove tension. The fragrance of lavender plants brings unexpected pleasant feelings to the body and soul of humans.

    Homeowners have designed their dwellings with lavender plants in their front and backyards. The aroma of a lavender garden lingers for a long time and brings old-time charm to its environment. It is a delightful experience to enter a home filled with the aromatic smell of a lavender garden. Many have grown lavender for its lovely scent, which lasts for a long time after it has been dried. Others have grown lavender for the color of its flowers. What could be more delightful and aromatic than a row of lavender plants in the garden?

    Just like harvesting roses for the production of rose oil, lavender is harvested with its petals and leaves at dawn when the flowers of the plant have opened at their peak aromatic yield. They are dried quickly to retain their fragrant oils. Some of the world's finest lavender oil comes from the flowers of the plant, which blossom in the color of lavender. Lavender oil has a very intense fragrance, which is distilled into perfume known as an essential oil, which used for aromatherapy. The essential oil industry considers it as the most essential oil in the market.

    Lavender's purple flowers are known to represent purity, silence, devotional serenity, grace, and spiritual calm. Its purple color relates to spiritual symbolism. Purple is the color of royalty. It expresses elegance, refinement, and luxury. Purple is also associated with spirituality, passion, and the sacred higher self (soul and spirit).

    1-1: Biblical roots of the lavender plant

    In the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, the lavender plant was referred to by its Greek name: spikenard (a.k.a. nard).

    Six days before Passover Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. They gave a dinner for him there, and Martha served, while Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with him. Mary [Mary Magdalene] took a liter of costly perfumed oil made from genuine aromatic nard and anointed the feet of Jesus and dried them with her hair; the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. Then Judas the Iscariot one [of] his disciples, and the one who would betray him said, Why was this oil not sold for three hundred days wages and given to the poor? He said this not because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief and held the money bag and used to steal the contributions. So Jesus said, "Leave her alone. Let her keep this for the day of my burial. You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me. (John 12: 1–8¹; emphasis added)

    When he was in Bethany reclining at the table in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of perfumed oil, costly genuine spikenard. She broke the alabaster jar and poured it on his head. There were some who were indignant. Why has there been this waste of perfumed oil? It could have been sold for more than three hundred days wages and the money given to the poor. They were infuriated with her. Jesus said, Let her alone. Why do you make trouble for her? She has done a good thing for me. The poor you will always have with you, and whenever you wish you can do good to them, but you will not always have me. She has done what she could. She has anticipated anointing my body for burial. Amen, I say to you, wherever the gospel is performed to the whole world, what she has done will be told in memory for her. (Mark 14: 1–9.¹)

    The lavender plant is believed to have been taken from the garden of Eden by Adam and Eve. However, the powerful perfume (essential oil) came to cultures much later. According to legend, Mother Mary spread the clothing of baby Jesus upon a lavender bush to dry. It is considered a holy plant to safeguard against evil forces. Many Christian homes are decorated with a cross shaped from dried lavender plants. Saint Joseph (the stepfather of Jesus) is represented by a spikenard in Catholic Church's iconography. Pope Francis has included the spikenard plant in his coat of arms in reference to Saint Joseph.

    In the Old Testament, King Solomon (son of King David) mentions the herb nard and spikenard twice in his Song of Songs, which is believed to be written around 538 BC.

    While the King was up on his couch my spikenard gave forth its fragrance. (Song of Songs 1:12¹; emphasis added)

    Your branches are a grove of pomegranates, with fruits of choices yield; Henna with spikenard, spikenard and saffron, sweat cane and cinnamon with all kinds of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the finest spices. (Song of Songs 4:13–14¹; emphasis added)

    Mary's (Magdalene) extravagant gift is a symbolic representation of a kind offering expected of each one of us before our departure from here. Only the absolute best was worthy of her Lord. She was willing to give everything she had as an act of worship. The same should be true for each one of us. That was her best gift to the Lord. She made a full contribution from her heart with her best-kept possession; that is the part that is consecrated to the Lord.

    We, too, should make consecrated contributions to the Lord, God, from the best part of us, just like Mary did! Mary's gift may have provided strength to the Lord for the coming events and horrific death, which was followed by His resurrection. Mary did not know at that time that she offered her most valuable gift. She was one of the first to anoint the Son of God as He became no longer the teacher but the ultimate sacrifice for the sons and daughters of the world. Amen to the Lord, Jesus Christ!

    Chapter 2

    Discourses with God Almighty

    Remember to

    receive God by faith, not by mental discourses;

    cast out wrong beliefs and teachings;

    renew your mind. You are not on earth to conform to this world;

    learn to conform with God, who created you and this earth;

    learn how to control your tongue;

    learn that your religion is worthless if they do not teach you how to control your tongue; and

    learn that death is part of being alive.

    If you are an intellect and have been given an intelligent mind by God, then be thankful. You will be a person on earth carrying a great intellectual power. Being an intellect is having a power of knowing, as distinguished from the power to will. It is the highest capacity for knowledge. Intelligent people live a holy life on earth with God. When you are called an intellect, know that you are closer to God in your life. When you are called an intellect, you are closer to the heavens.

    The Lord, God, has given you a healing mind that is well structured to know Him. If you use it correctly, then you will be an intellect. God has left the choice to you from your birth. Your free will is left in between its rightful use and its wrongful use on earth. The choice is yours, freely under your God-given freedom on earth. You could be an intellectual power of God on earth, or you could allow yourself to be used by evil thoughts infused in your mind by satan. At your creation, the
