¹⁷ pray without ceasing

Lord, I love You! I know that You know my heart and my mind and my total self. You alone know why I am enduring this life-changing event.

This illness reminded me to pray. Intentionally. Intensively.

Lord, my prayer life needed some inspiration and You called me to You to pray. Lord, forgive me for neglecting Your command and invitation and provision to pray.

Lord, thank You for calling me and my prayer life to You to rejuvenate my attention to Your will and details.

Lord, I am grateful for Your love, Your extravagant love which keeps me and loves me and empowers me and comforts me and blesses me and soothes me and forgives me and affirms me and saves me and talks to me. All in spite of myself and with a full account of my unworthiness.

Lord, thank You for the privilege of prayer and thank You for answering me when I pray. Thank You for hearing my pleas. Thank You for the Holy Spirit who completes my prayers and aligns them with Your will.

Lord, allow me to dwell on You and within You and remain focused on You rather than on this situation.

Lord, I am grateful that You have given me an opportunity to reflect on the error of my ways of neglect of our communication and the intercession of others.

Lord, thank You for our talks—the words You whisper and the ones You shout.

Lord, You are my Rock and my Redeemer! You are listening especially when You have caused others to stop hearing me and when You caused me to stop hearing others.

Lord, I thank You and worship You and praise You. Thank You for choosing me!

In Jesus’s name, I pray! Amen!

²⁵ Brethren, pray for us.

Dear God,

Thank You for the intercessor, Jesus Christ, who prayed for me in John 17. Jesus reminds me to pray whatever I wish and ask in His name.

I know that I have not always been as faithful to prayer and I am working on being better.

Lord, thank You for the other intercessor, the Holy Spirit! For when I don’t know what to pray for, the Holy Spirit submits a prayer to You, Lord, on my behalf according to Your will.

Lord, offer me the strength to share with others my struggle and pain along with any joy and excitement. Lord, help me be able to understand that my issues are my testimonies. Lord, help me share my testimony with others according to Your will.

Lord, thank You for the people who are assigned to pray for me. Lord, thank You for helping me to allow others to enter into my life. Lord, I am humbled through this experience.

Lord, thank You for Your hand of protection as people pray for me so that I have no fear about what others share about my testimony.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.

Eternal God,

I am deeply anguished! I am deeply saddened. I am deeply broken. I am deeply depressed. I am deeply hurting. Lord, I lay before You completely downhearted. Lord, I am in need of Your healing for my ailments and my burdens.

Lord, remind me to FULLY trust You in my times of anguish and my season of despair and my moments of angst and anxiety. Lord, remind me not to challenge You or Your trust, even when I am overwhelmed or overcome by doubt. Lord, remind me to keep my heart on You. Lord, remind me to leave my burdens at Your alter so that You can concern Yourself with what concerns me.

Lord, remind me that You have not forgotten me and that as Your daughter, You never will. Lord, remind me through who cross my path that You are there for me and that others know that You are my God.

Lord, as I learn to completely trust You, allow me to dwell as Your daughter without the anguish of my thoughts.

Lord, as You heal me, please allow me to share Your deliverance of me.

Lord, I have my hand on Your garment for the deliverance and healing. I need to hold on with a more complete
