The next few points are just some highlights of what God’s word is and how it helps us. Hopefully this will ignite your heart to LOVE reading it and give you a deep desire to want more! Not just It’s a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path- Psalm 119:105- we chatted a bit about this in the members group this last week. Being reminded that God’s word helps us to see! It’s like a super awesome flashlight in this dark world. Guiding our footsteps and leading our way!- which by the way I’d love to invite you to be part of that awesome community! It equips you- 2 Timothy3:16- All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.3. It’s alive and active- Hebrews 4:12- For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.4. Because of all these things we are able to hear God through reading the word. Just as I said in point three…because Hisword is active and alive it can bring different messages at different time to help us in each circumstance! How cool is that. Also, have you ever experienced reading a scripture and then going to church and the pastor is speaking on that very verse and then your friend comes to you and shares the same thing? This is God talking to you friend!! He’s using His word to bring something to light or help you through your season. It’s awesome to know He listens, hears and wants to help right?Ok I say all of this to hopefully help you have a desire to get into His word. So you can experience all that He has for you. Don’t think of it as a chore…or as something to check off your list. When you do that you will miss out on al that God has for you because you won’t be in the right head space to hear from Him! Change your outlook on it and come with an expectant heart!
