My MEMES I Learned about Christ and a Man!
()
About this ebook
This book is about the MEMES the author learned about Christ/God to build a relationship with him. She learned the fundamentals of a man God made in his own image. She believes once a person knows the basics of anything, then the process is made easier to deal with--the relationships she learned from and what she did wrong in the relationships, how she came to know Christ, and how she learned a man through Christ. She thinks a lot of women struggle with relationships because they do not know the basics of a man!

From 1972–1988, I had been living from relatives to relatives and school to school. I decided to do adulthood at the age of sixteen years old and left my grandmother’s house. I had a backpack of clothes and climbed out of the window. I asked God to take care of me on my journey. He has been there for me through thick and thin. I met my baby daddy walking around Condon Gardens. I was working at Popeye’s Chicken; it was my first real job.
Me and Baby Daddy got an apartment together, an efficiency apartment. My experience with this man was a great learning experience. Ladies, when you are young and meet that great boy you think you are in love with, you will do anything for him. I was working and paying the bills. This man would stalk me when I was at work (he told me that). We would argue and fight because he would think I was messing with other men I was working with.
I remember one of the fights we had gotten into; he was hitting me, trying to keep me in the house, and I put some red pepper in my hands. He did not know, and I got away from him; and when he ran after me, trying to catch me, I threw that red pepper in his eyes to get him off me. He did not know what to do. I got away and ran.
He wanted to be controlling of all I do. I ended up getting pregnant with this man. We stayed together a few months after I got pregnant; I then moved to another city with my mother because I was tired of working and the abuse. After a few months of living with my mother, he did talk me into coming to live with us to be there when the baby was born.
Baby Daddy did get a job to help take care of the baby before it was born. We were living with my mother until the baby was born after three days of walking and hurtful labor pains. Men do not realize the pain. Imagine a bad toothache with throbbing pains contracting; that’s how labor pains feel. My first baby was a girl, natural birth, seven pounds; I was so glad that was over with. Baby Daddy and I lived with my mother until I turned eighteen years old to get an apartment in public housing.
Two and a half years later, still with Baby Daddy, I had another baby. It was a boy, natural birth, weighed eight pounds sixteen ounces. The labor was not long, but it took a long time to push this baby the doctor had to cut me during labor (episiotomy). I thank God that experience was over and he helped me through another birth, safe and unharmed, with two healthy children.
I decided to go back to school to be a CNA/HHA
