About this ebook

In the title Thoughts of My Father, I have tried to show that no matter what we do, our Father God is always with us. All we have to do is reach out to him. All you have to do is believe that Jesus died for your sins and that you ask for forgiveness. You will know in your heart that you are forgiven and saved.

Thoughts Of God My Father - Evelyn Erwin

    The Cross

The cross of Christ stands alone

    a symbol of our Salvation

A gift of love from above that

    paid for our transgressions

A debt too great for us to pay

he gladly paid it for us.

For all who choose to walk the path

his love laid out before us

When he arose the darkness fell

    before his awesome glory

So when this life does ebb away

there will be no darkness near

Only light and love from Christ above

    to welcome us to glory.

They did not know his brow did hold

    a crown of untold worth.

When next they see that brow so sweet

with all the scars upon it

A crown of gold and jewels they’ll see

    with thorns embossed upon it.

    The Curtain

That day in the temple, the curtain was torn

to allow us to stand before God.

It wasn’t by men but by an act of God

that ripped the curtain that day.

An angel was doing the will of God to give

    so precious a gift.

The price of that gift was the blood on the

cross where Christ had hung that day.

We do not know how a death so bold could save us

    from sin so black.

But in three days, he rose from the grave

and came to his children to say.

"I am the door you can come through
