Dear Readers,

This book is an assortment of my poems about some of my favorite themes – inspiration, hope and joy. I have spent the past five years of my life writing at least ten poems a day, some days I can crank out ten poems. They come to me fast and furiously, and I can type 85 words per minutes, so I am a

speedy little poetry-making machine. Some of my first attempts were tiny stories, not poems at all, but I feel I am getting better as I practice and I practice in the car, in restaurants, in my living room, and at work. I am constantly writing when I am not painting, cartooning, or playing with my grandchildren.

I am a seventy-year-young grandmother of ten. I hope that you enjoy these poems and stories at least half as much as I enjoyed writing them.

Moon Inspiration

Moon magic lights my way to say what I want to say

Inspires hope, truth, and joy every single day.

To talk to God, and Jesus, high above.

To thank them for my life, and love.

Self confident, thanks to the power of the pure and divine,

I have had the best life, and it has truly been mine.

My mistakes were all my own, kicking and screaming.

Straightened out by my spiritual advisors when I was dreaming.

Moon beam joy, star light love,

Let me show reverence and respect to those high above

Let me be grateful and share your sheer joy

With children on earth, each girl and each boy

We all see the same sun, sky, and moon

All around the world, we each inspire to croon

Wanting peace, and finding goodness in each other

From Father in sky, and terrific Earth mother.

Lift our humanity up, show us clearly what to do

To follow your will, to follow you and Jesus too.

Help us to eliminate the hatred which is insanity.

Help us find perfect peace and lift up humanity.

Animal Inspiration

Peacock pleasures

Prancing pride fully

Yet playfully pure

Giant gossamer gestures

Glittering graciously

With gliding gracefulness

Demure delicate deer

Dainty and delightful

Inspiring delectableness

Inspiration from Te Fiti

Dusk. The magic time. When her spirit guide was awake.

She went to the mountain top. As she climbed, the wolves howled.

They felt the magic she was calling from Te Fiti.

Mother Sky aka Te Fiti came quickly, spewing thunder and lightning.

She was formidable, and scary to others.

To Moana she was a spirit guide, a fairy godmother.

She gave Moana extra confidence, and the wherewithal to be brave.

She went down the mountain ready to conquer the sea, and her father.

She was able to take on anything now; inspiration climbed down the mountain on her back.

Inspiration for my Muse

kaleidsccope cathedral wearing your stained glass gown,

each piece thought out and chosen by an artist of renown

You lift my heart, and make my soul feel the world's good

Your artistic flair comes forth solidly as each masterpiece should

I am in awe as I stand under you, realising brochure did not do you just.

You are the epitome of beauty, my heart gives us all a shush.

My muse is quiet for the first time in maybe weeks.

You are exactly the inspiration that she very often seeks.

Inspiring Damselfly

inspiring the grasses

a faerie laughs

The Timer is my only Inspiration

i set the timer

and beat the clock

it is the only way i can do things mundane

weirdly when the timer goes off

i reset it and begin the next banal task

in the throes of it, I glare at the timer

However, I have to reset it a third, fourth, and maybe a tenth time

to keep going

If there is one thing I despise it is

cleaning, dusting, washing clothes, and paperwork.

The timer is my only inspiration.
