This is Sadie with a quick note for readers. There is a character in this story who is very much a chauvinist, bordering on a misogynist. He came out a little stronger than I originally intended and I just wanted to say before you begin reading that his views do not align with my own. He’s a nasty guy and I cringe a little when I realize the my brain helped to produce him. She had already heard rumors from other companies that might be interested in her taking the helm. But those were just rumors and she was intent on saving her job from the most hated man she could imagine, Kai.
