      Elizabeth watched in disgust as the pirates ransacked the peaceful Eskimo village, stealing their treasures and causing destruction in their path. She was being held in the bottom quarters of the ship, a hostage held for ransom.

      She was a gorgeous noblewoman, with long golden hair and piercing blue eyes, and she was filled with a sense of outrage and anger at the sight of these savage pirates plundering and pillaging with abandon.
