The Omega Network - Marq Jones
My Experience in The Omega Network
Chapter 1- It’s the Truth!
Ifound out about the ministry through someone that once supported Omega.
They showed me a copy of The Organic Gospel
and talked about how its the truth.
Although that was the first time I heard about the ministry, it wasn’t what got me officially plugged in.
Days later I was at someone else’s house that once supported the ministry, and I was helping them fix their couch.
I was no furniture repair expert, but I have a knack for being able to repair things as they needed repair. As I was repairing their couch, they had a message playing on their TV from YouTube. The guy that was talking was speaking as if he was Judge Joe Brown
or Judge Mathis.
He would make absolute statements as if he was the Judge, the Jury, and the executioner. I heard him sharply rebuke Jay Z and Beyonce and talk about sinners as if they were the scum of the earth.
I thought to myself, Aye, he goin hard.
I asked the person that had it playing, Who is this guy?
The person said that his name was Gary Price, and the name of the message was Emotions: Satan’s Doorway to the Soul.
I finished fixing the couch, went home and looked it up on YouTube.
That was my official introduction and exposure to Omega Church & Ministries Center
A.K.A. Omega.
It was the summer of 2018 when I heard that message while fixing someone’s couch.
When I found the message on YouTube, I binge watched it. It was captivating. I was drawn to how he presented the message. Being very dogmatic, militant, and vicious with his delivery held my attention and kept me coming back for more. I was hooked.
I eventually stumbled across the website and that’s when it seemed as if Omega
had hijacked my life as I listened to message after message. I would download messages to my phone.
I had messages on my iPod. I put messages on an SD Card and put them in my car. I could literally go from work to my car, and into my home and all you’d hear was Gary Price’s voice blaring through any available speaker nearby. I started forcing the messages on my wife and made her sit and listen to them with me.
She was apprehensive at first. She didn’t like the vulgar remarks he would always make as he preached, along with imitating inappropriate scenarios.
I found it humorous at the time. Nevertheless, after constantly playing the messages, she eventually got used to them. Every now and then, she would call out some of the repetitiveness of the messages. Such as the constant need to bash Jay Z and Beyonce as if people didn’t already know they’re sinners that operate in the occult.
AT THE TIME, WE ATTENDED a local church that I had been a part of since 2009. I go into details regarding how I found that church and my experience being born again in my book, A Dark Journey to His Glorious Light: A look into My Salvation Journey.
However, I’ll elaborate on my transition from the church I attended at the time to Omega Ministries in this book.
Chapter 2
Diving deeper into Omega
It was Sunday June 17 th , 2018, when I was plunged backwards into the warm water at my local church I’d been a part of since 2009. It was Father’s Day.
My wife, and I were baptized for the 1 st time since we had been followers of Christ.
The pastor of the church had been announcing a baptismal service for weeks leading up to the event and my wife and I decided we should get baptized.
We really didn’t think anything of it. We weren’t really caught up on doctrines and things pertaining to biblical practices and things that people say you must do to be saved. We simply went to church every Sunday, regularly donated, and partook in communion as it was practiced.
We weren’t really involved in the church as much as we should have been. We never attended Bible Study, nor did we attend Sunday school prior to Sunday church service.
We were, what some would consider mediocre Christians at the time. We believed in the Bible and believed in helping people and truly being the salt of the earth.
At the time, we were born-again followers of Christ, but we still had our short comings and sinful practices that we regularly engaged in. One of them primarily being trips to the Casino and long nights of drinking and gambling.
My wife didn’t gamble much, but I was a sucker for craps, and I’d keep us out nearly all night. Regardless of any participation in sin that I operated in, I still had a heart for Jesus.
Unfortunately, I was never raised in a manner that taught me the fear of the Lord.
That’s another thing that attracted me to Omega.
Sin was not heavily preached against at the local church I had attended at the time.
Every now and then, the pastor may deliver a message that convicted me, and I’d repent and try to do right, but I never really got involved or fully supported the church outside of giving money.
Just as I previously mentioned, we never really did anything apart from the Sunday routine. Nevertheless, we were good friends with the pastor and my wife used to regularly cut his hair (my wife’s a cosmetologist).
Around the same time, I was becoming more and more accustomed to listening to messages from Omega,
the pastor of my local church had broke the news to the congregation regarding his soon departure and we’d be getting a new pastor.
I was devastated by the news. I was actually trying to live right, and we even started going to Sunday school classes before Sunday service.
The way everything played out, it seemed as if God himself was orchestrating the transition deeper into Omega.
It happened so fast.
Before I knew it, the pastor of my local church had departed. Looking back at that moment now, I was actually hurt by the departure. This is when I started diving deeper into Omega.
WE STARTED TUNING IN on Livestream and we would participate in church service virtually from our living room. We’d stand in front of our 65-inch TV and participate in praise and worship as the music blared through our
