When I’m Gone

When I’m gone,

do not shed tears of sorrow,

for I have touched hearts in more ways than one can ever follow.

My smile has brightened even the darkest soul.

Some may have even been made whole.

When I’m gone,

do not let my demise replace my existence.

Do not hang your head in despair;

or, go on thinking life is unfair.

For my time here on earth was well devoted to providing

much laughter, much care.

I kept it real.

I dared to feel.

I symbolized the desire to live with so much zeal.

The joy I possessed was revealed through generosity.

My loyalty proved you would always have the best of me.

My swag hit different; and,

that attitude required commitment.

At times, I was distant;

but, my ambiance always consistent.

Ask anyone,

they’ll tell you;

my heart was off the chart.

That peace and positivity labeled me a keeper from the start.

When I’m gone,

hold close to the memories we made.

Reflect on the times we shared,

and the love displayed.

Become a resemblance of my unselfishness,

a contributor to my perceptiveness,

and an ambassador of my strength and morality.

When I’m gone,

dance in the rain,

with my reflection above the rainbow

and, feel no pain

knowing I’m wearing that golden halo.

Remember me when I’m gone.

From the beginning,

you absorb the warmth from her golden halo.

The sun in her smile reflects a shadow that follows,

even in the absence of her presence.

The gentleness of her touch will never depart.

Luminescence captured in her essence is a work of art.

The tenderness in her words speak to your soul

while the strength in her crown beams with love and trust.

Your full attention is most definitely a must.

This royalty sustained vessel,

bound in her dedication to serve,

her willingness to provide;

and, her courage to protect.

Even as her appearance fades,

she still demands respect.

Her loyal coated wings generate humbleness,

as forgiveness flows with the wind beneath.

It must be gold plated underneath.

Her immeasurable drive supersedes any hurt,

and substitutes all grudges.

What a resemblance of determination she has been.

The depiction of this rare gift,

you wouldn’t dare bother to retouch.

Her angelic mark imprinted

on each life she has been honored to touch,

shall be more than enough.
