Genre: Gay Paranormal Thriller Romance / LGBT Supernatural Romance

Werewolves came ‘out of the kennel’ years ago. Now, one wants to teach at a Southern high school much to the contempt of the other teachers.

Peter’s a gay English teacher deep in the closet. He never expected a werewolf co-worker or one built with tree-trunk sized muscles and cuter than a Old West cowboy.

Too bad there’s no such thing as a gay werewolf, or is there?

This 12,000 word short queer thriller romance contains scenes of gay sex with a werewolf. It’s intended for adult readers.

    GAY FOR THE WEREWOLF TEACHER

Well, we got our new werewolf teacher the first week of December.

The gray haired male reporter gestured for me to continue.

"I remember our football coach wondering why we needed somebody to teach about werewolves. As far as he was concerned, those things already corrupted America enough. No, we didn’t get somebody to teach about werewolves – at least not intentionally. A real life werewolf came to our small Southern town high school to teach."

The reporter frowned. Cut, Peter’s nose is shiny. Fix his hair while you’re at it.

A young blue haired lady with a full sleeve of arm tattoos picked up a makeup brush. I stared back into the side mirror and wondered what was wrong. It was the first time I wore makeup despite rumors. That said, the English teacher in the reflection was me but didn’t fit my self-image. I looked like a better version of myself.

    Okay fine… nice makeup job.

My brown hair was cut just enough to look neat yet relaxed. The silver streak along the side had a nice subtle gradient effect. The studio thought the color was a marketable gesture of werewolf solidarity.

They gave me an outfit that was ‘cowboy chic’ like something you’d see at the Country Music Awards. I guess they wanted to add to the uniqueness of the situation.

As if a werewolf teacher wasn’t enough.

The make-up artist fluffed up my hair to the side, stared, and then raised her thumb high in satisfaction.

A gruff male voice called out. Let’s continue.

Well looking back, there weren’t any hints on how unusual things would get. I shrugged. It was the start of the month but most people were in vacation mode already. We were expecting presents, not something out of the movies.

The reporter shouted toward the crew. See if we can get the rights to that nineteen thirties werewolf movie. We’ll spice it in.

My lips pressed together and I forced a smile. Well, we all remembered when they came out.

Heh… that used to be our phrase. Guess it’s theirs too.

    Came out of the kennel?

I frowned and my voice rose. "Cage is more like it, they kept him and others like they were some–"

We’re not the people who experimented on him. We have to use familiar terms. Go ahead.

Well, we’d all seen werewolf movies, read the books, and seen costumes on Halloween. Now we had the real thing.

    Were you surprised?

I frowned. "Yes, and no. First, most people dismissed the rumors. I mean come one… werewolves? Once the government held press conferences to deny it, more people believed. By that time, we consider the possibility so it wasn’t as much of a shock as it could’ve been."

"I guess I was surprised at what Hollywood got wrong. Sure they can shape shift but not into hybrids, just
